It still, for unknown reason, reset the settings for player behaviour
to default. I thought it was the performance setting (high memory) that
caused it, but it's not.

Does new/changed rescan for photos work for everyone else ?
For me it takes a lot of time even if I haven't modified any photos, it
basically seems to do a full rescan.
I have the photos on a samba share, maybe the modification detection
doesn't work on network drives ?

Pallfreeman - since installing 7.6.1 I have started getting the same
issue as you with the blank page and error in the log when trying to
'love' at track. It does still seem to work though.

Video scanning seems to be very slow in my setup and picture scanning
is reasonably slow also, at least compared to music scanning.

Yes, I did the full procedure - removed the old one, cleaned the db,
installed the new one, cleaned the db again. No joy.

After having huge problems with 7.6.1 I went ahead and installed the 7.7
beta onto my Windows Home Server yesterday evening.
Also, since I can not get SB Server to work with my iTunes library any
longer I switched it to do a simple scan of my music folder as well as
importing some of my iTunes
okay, it would appear that special characters crash the playback. Is
there a fix for this planned?

I lied, it's still busted. Every time an alarm for an m3u playlist
activates for my SB Radio, the Squeezebox Server software appears to
crash and become unresponsive. The SB Radio plays the default annoying
as hell wave file as the wake up sound.
Then, to top it all off, several minutes later,

No, not thousands, 1900 tracks. The part you might have missed is that
this has worked without a problem for *years* then I made the mistake
of upgrading past 7.5.x and now it's all busted (both my iTunes
integration, and even without that, my alarm function).

Hi I just tried the debian version of LMS 7.7 streaming to my samsung
blueray player (BD-C6900).
The LMS was installed on a dockstar, and the scanning was without any
problem.
The positive: I was able to see my music via the blueray player. I

ok worked for me in 7.6.2 on a relatively slugish via c7 server 2900
track playlist as current alarm fired ok, now snoozing lets what it
does

The player updated FW after I upgraded SBS to 7.7, I can confirm what
version it is running but it's probably the newest/latest one.
I have tried creating/editing the alarm on the player itself, as well
as using iPeng to do it. In both cases it fails.

This seems to be an issue unique for the sparc version.
I'm running 7.7.0RC2 on a ReadyNas Ultra (x86) and it works OK.
Not perfect since I still have some issues with the scanner, but I can
access the web interface without any problem.
Hopefully they will fix it so its working for sparc too

the last version of LMS I tried it is also not possible to add them

I have a Windows XP with LMS RC 1 on it. I install LMS R33512 upon it.
When I do that the installations removes the list of network drives it
should scan. And now it is not possible to add them again. I have tried
it on the controlpanel but since you can't tell LMS which drive is for
music,
Since a few nightlies the number of deleted audio files while (and
after) scanning is definitely wrong.
IMHO it counts the number of deleted (and later again 'scanned as new')
playlists to the number of deleted files.
I've tested while only doing some changes while moving some files from

Time::HiRes is a core module, so we don't supply it, it should already
be installed. Please run with the --d_startup command-line flag to get
more details.

Going from 7.2.0 to RC2 on WinXP Pro, SP3. Three problems.
First thing: Running an upgrade install of RC2 (r33512) over 7.2.0
latest nightly, the installer spawned a .tmp process to uninstall
Squeezebox Server. This hung forever with its Cancel button greyed out,
and the install would not

Does factory resseting the boom have any effect ?

share with about 843 recordings took totally 14 hours.
