I was birding the Whitby area today from around 4:10-5:30pm today and was able
to see some interesting birds.
The Cattle egret was present from 4:10-4:20pm when I observed it on the
Carruther's Creek golf course.
Cranberry marsh was also productive with an Oregon junco at one of the feeders

A probable adult non breeding PACIFIC LOON was observed by many feeding along

It's getting close to that time of the year again when we turn our thoughts
to winter listing and all of the fun and excitement that can come with it.
With that in mind, Lisa Teskey and I did some scouting this morning, at
what seems to be a yearly hotspot for winter warblers, Sedgewick
The Cattle Egret continues to offer excellent views today.
I have been asked by the Director of Golf at Carruthers's Creek Golf and C.C.
to remind birders that the golf course is private property and YOU DO NOT HAVE
PERMISSION to enter onto the golf course (fairways, rough, greens or pathways).
Still present on the NE part of golf course. Bailey and Lake Ridge. unphased by
golfers.

Apologies for the late report but I inadvertently sent this yesterday from one
of my other email addresses and the server rejected it.
At approximately 11:15 yesterday morning I saw a raptor flying low over a large
plowed field along the north side of Baker Road (between Rae and Ball Roads).
