Point Bird Observatory. The bird was first heard calling beside the Observatory
on Saturday and has been around every day since. This is the first

The bird has gained weight over the last two days. Also getting a bit feisty
and resisting treatment! Watch out for that bill!. We are hand feeding him
still, with an occasional
at Brown's Bay and brought it to the mainland
where it was picked up and delivered to the Centre. According to Sue Meech
of the Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre, the bird is very weak and may not
survive. It will not be possible for birders to see this bird while it is in
recovery.

species that were spotted by the plethora of birders this morning. The
HARLEQUIN DUCKS, a bit boring by now, are still around. The Birding by Ear
