I think it likely you charged alcaline cels, if you could be very sure they
were rechargables then that would mean something very wrong with the charger.
The goop that came out is not acid any more it is alcaly and thus you should
really use acid, vinegar, for cleanup. White vinegar is fine.
I've never noticed this, so i'll have to take a look at some, a little later on
today.
Thanks.

Hi,
We just had a nasty experience. We have a battery charger, and I was
charging a set of 4 AA batteries. I left to the store, and My fiance said
Aloha Claudia,
I've had that experience. My problem was that I
was sold non-rechargeable batteries. This was
awhile ago when I really didn't know much about rechargeables.
I suspect that your socket is fine since there was no fire or smoke.
It would be good to try to figure out what went

Well the quickest way to test the outlet is to plug in something like your
hair dryer, radio
Aloha Claudia,
I have one more thought. My battery charger has a
button on it that you slide depending on what
kind of battery you are charging.
I don't know what would happen if the button was in the wrong position.
When my batteries blew, the store offered to sell
me some electrical contact
possibility the
breaker may of tripped. In that case reset and it should be fine.

the charger? I am not sure if I would even want
