Buy one that is made for amateur radio. Astron are good units, but they can be had from MFJ, Samlex, etc. Just make sure it's "rated" for your use. Some manufacturers rate them by peak output, and others use continuous output. (Peak will be higher than continuous). R tends to run specials

Kevin, I lived in Germany 1989-91. I didn't find any problems using appropriate voltage transformers. Many power supplies now have a wide input range so you only need to get the correct plug for that area. The frequency difference might cause a problem with some time based devices. Have a
