My son just got home from work and driving from Kidders (153) along through
Sheldrake to home at 7214 Wyers Pt. Rd. he counted 58 Swans. Didn't study
to determine if Tundra or Mute or a mixture.

Hi All - Saturday morning at 9:20 I went outside my house and heard
thousands of Canada Geese flying way, way high overhead. So high I could not
see them but could hear them honking on their travels.

The males arrive early and establish their territory, then they are very
busy all summer preforming their manly duties to all the females in their
area. Then no need to hang around.!!

My DE Junco's are no longer ground feeders only. They are at
the hanging suet cake as well as the large tube feeder. That has a small
ledge and is filled with cracked corn, sunflower seeds and nijer seeds.

I have never seen catbirds at my suet feeder and a catbird nests each year
in my yard. I just wrote in a message about B. Orioles RB Grosbeaks at my
suet. I have never had them at my suet before.

5 years she or an offspring built a new nest on top of the existing ones.
They tolerated us humans coming in and out but they were making a mess on
the porch with nest material, etc. so Mother finally took the nest down. I
always have wondered just how high they would go !
