I had almost the exact treatment and drug changes. I just went to the
Oncologist, Dr. Talpaz, U of M and he has taken me off the Sprycel and I am
now about to start on 100 mg of Bosulif. Is there anyone else on Bosulif?
I would really like to know what I am about to be faced with.

Thanks John. I am surprised that I have not seen anything about that drug
before. Been researching in this CML department since 2008.

Hi Choi: I don't have mutation 315I. I think I still have 355G but I don't know
that. I went on ponatinib because the other drugs were not working anymore. I
am receiving ponatinib on compassionate grounds and I have had cml for over 15
years. I have never been without Philadelphia chromosomes.
I think you developed mutant after 5 years of Gleevec. Were you on PCRU when
developed mutation? T315I? So switched to Tasigna, Sprycel and finally
Ponatinib?

Thanks John, so Gleevec, Tasigna, Sprycel didn't work for E355G? That's why you
are on Ponatinib right now?

Hi Joyce: if you go to drugs.com and type in name omacetaxine is well
explained. It requires an injection twice a day, which I did. I was on it about
two years. I have been 100% Phillies until I started ponatinib and this drug
reduced my phone Phillies to about 50%. I am very sensitive to ponati
John,
When you were on sprycel did you get to PCRU? My husband was on sprycel for 3
years and then, just as you, had to go off because of pleural effusion. He was
undetectable for 2 years and lost his PCRU in 2 months. He is now on
bosulif.first 100 mg which was not working.then on 20
Hi Choi
Yes I developed mutants for gleevec tasigna and sprycel. I was recently put
on ponatinib and it is supposed to be mutant resistant. He could talk to his
onc about it. I am doing pretty good so far.

Hi Choi I was on sprycel and to go off it because of pleural effusion. I then
went on omacetaxine for a couple of years and finally am on ponatinib. I only
take normally one pill a week it is a strong drug so I am off it for three
weeks. John B

Hi Choi,
Pleural Effusions are quite common to people that are using Sprycel
sometimes even on low doses. Since he also has the E55G mutation he or you
may want to get in touch with Dr. Brian Druker and Dr. Moshie Talpaz.
Both of these doctors are the CML experts Dr. Druker was the one that made
