it seems to point to the old kernel -v55 so you should remove it and
make it point to -v58.

Maybe you can simply switch their positions, take a look at
 /opt/qtmoko/etc/themes/mokofaen/callscreen.xml lines 108-129.
And it is not a bad idea, because the actual positions of the Hang up
button are inconsistent: if you're receiving a call the Hang Up is on
the right, but if you're in a call it is on the left.
Well, I'll try it myself tomorrow! ;)

bug :

Currently we have these buttons int this order when a call comes :

---

---

And then, when the call was answered, we've these buttons :

--
| Hang up | Hold |
--

With the Hang up button looking exactly as the Reject button.

I want to suggest instead of adding a timer (or having both solutions)
to not switch the place of the Reject/Hang up button when the call is
hung up.

So the question is : is it possible to have button order as below
when the call is answered ?

So, if I touch twice the Answer button, I just hold the call and
I'll be able to take it back easier.

Thanks again and best regards !

I've found a solution to fix this problem with Debian Wheezy (the one

TLDR; you need to make symbolic links for libdjvulibre and libfontconfig

Re: Getcal application is available to get your online calendars

2013-12-04 Thread Adrien Dorsaz

Hello!

There's already a new release, v1.5, to fix a bug which avoid you to
type a '/' in server url.

Another little fix is to not display a progress bar if no configuration
has been made.

Now, the URL to download packages is here (for armel and armhf) :
https://redmine.adorsaz.ch/projects/getcal_/files

(I didn't remark before that this redmine tool make automatically
md5sums and is able to use release version number)

Best regards,
Adrien

PS: if you want to create your own .deb package, simply clone my git
repository in your QtMoko sdk (or add it as a new submodule), fetch the
'master' and 'debian' branches, checkout the 'debian' one and run
'git-buildpackage'.

 Hi all,

If not, is there such calendar available in current SHR then?

Unfortunately, QtMoko don't have a caldav sync application (but you can code it
if you have enough motivation ;)).

But, there's a solution to get caldav files and fill the QtMoko calendar
with it.

This solution is ics2qtcal [0] which is a PERL script to do that.
As it's a basic script, you'll need terminal or ssh to use it and it can't save
your configurations.

I'm working on a graphical solution which is a GUI for ics2qtcal.
You can check my getcal project [1] which can save your settings and run
ics2qtcal in background.

I've just compiled these 2 applications and made .deb packages [2],[3].

Unfortunately, I'm not able to test the packages, because I've neither
my Neo nor my GTA04 at home. So you can try them, but it's possible
there's bugs in packaging and/or in application.

I hope it can help you and I'll notify this list when I'll be able to test my
packages,

I think it is out of memory. You need either big swap (1GB) or much better is
to use vexpress kernel [1]. You can download armhf buildhost and check
start.sh for arguments - it was a bit tricky to find them out, because
vexpress can work only with SD cards.

Well, I've checked /proc/swaps and I've discovered that my swap file
weren't started last time I've run my virtual machine. I've restarted a
compilation and it seems that Qt was well compiled and QtMoko has begun
its own compilation.

And do you know how I can begin again QtMoko compilation without compiling
again Qt (it's long and it worked well) ?

Maybe after playing with qtmoko configure arguments it might work, but IIRC
there were some problems with no easy solution. Instead i am now using
 ccache.
First compiling is slow, but then it's quite acceptable.

I've found that QEMU has a vm monitor on Ctrl+Alt+2 were we can manage
snapshots with commands like info snapshots savevm and loadvm (you
should stop your vm before creating a new snapshot and then continue
it after you load it).
I'm using ccache now too and I confirm that the first compilation is
long :)

Thanks!

Re: [Community] Going outside - GTA04 website

2013-08-24 Thread Adrien Dorsaz
Great job for your website !

I think, it could be good too to have a different page on GD shop for
the wish lists : https://shop.goldelico.com/wiki.php?page=GTA04

The actual page has a lot of informations which can be found in the
GTA04 documentation already pointed by the new website proposal.

So I want to suggest to point the new website on a similar shop web
page, but one without so much informations and with the four wish lists
(GTA04, CaseKit, Camera, Battery). The actual informations could be
replaced by links on the gta04 wiki to give a better view of the wish
lists.

I understand that to sell some product it's important to clearly explain
what is inside the product, that's why I want to keep actual page for
the shop and I suggest to add another one simplified for the wish list.

So, with two different page, we can modify actual new web site
interested box by having two links :
  * I want one ! : link to the actual detailed page
  * Show your interest ! : link to the wish lists page

Regards,
Adrien

PS : on both web page, they'll be the same wish list, the new one will
be to just simplify the access to the wish lists.

Build application for QtMoko with qemu-armhf

2013-07-26 Thread Adrien Dorsaz
Hello!

I'm a little bit lost with the use of my qemu buildhost to compile and
create my own QtMoko application.

Right now, I was able to compile my own application with the chroot
image, upload it on my GTA04 and run it without big issues. If you are
interested in my application it's available on github [1]. It's just a
configuration and graphical tool to use ics2qtcal to be able to get
online calendar.

I was able too, finally, to make my own qemu-arm Debian Wheezy image
following these steps [2]. But to be able to compile my application I
need QtMoko dev libraries. As you can see I've tried to simply configure
and make like on chroot, but I wasn't able to finish compiling (I didn't
have files of qtopia in the good place).

So, my question is : Now I'm able to emulate an armhf computer, what
should I make to continue compilation ? Should I read the old QtExtended
documentation [3] or should I take the qtmoko-chroot-armhf script and
apply same methods ?

Adrien

(http://openmoko-fr.org) and the website (forum/blog/...) is dying,
because OpenMoko hasn't a lot of news (instead of great work of QtMoko

Maybe some of you have an idea to take interest of these people and
maybe to merge the openmoko-fr community with the openphoenux one
(Indeed, an issue for openmoko-fr is the number of volunteers) ?

I've cc swap38 and openmoko list to be sure that some (last) openmoko-fr
members see this message.

Hope we can make great things together,

Re: Qtmoko v52-armhf : Issue to resume

2013-06-09 Thread Adrien Dorsaz
Hello!

Finally, I had time to come back on the error of this thread (fail
resume on SMS reception).

I was able to strace dbus (see [1]) and to check dmesg (see [2]).

I've tried to send same sms just after I've seen the bug, but it didn't
appear again (so that's not because of the text message).

I'll try to see if I can have more log messages next time. Maybe should
I check pulseaudio log ? I think about that because GTA02 doesn't have
the bug and GTA04 didn't had it early last year.

Re: [QtMoko] black screen after sms reception

2013-05-28 Thread Adrien Dorsaz
Hello,

We were already trying to solvethis problem. IIRC it seems to be
related with dbus crashing on resume which causes QtMoko to crash too.
QtMoko is responsible for setting screen brightness after resume and
because of the crash the display stays dark.

Can you try SSH to the device when the display is black and check if
 dbus and QtMoko are running?

Oh, yeah I've forgot the dbus bug because I forgot that I've modified my
resume script to restart dbus in case of any error. So this bug
description isn't good to find the real bug.

I'll try again later without my resume script.

Sorry for the inconvenience,

[QtMoko] black screen after sms reception

2013-05-27 Thread Adrien Dorsaz
Hello!

I've again the black screen after reception of an SMS bug using QtMoko
v55 (self compiled) on GTA04 (I'm not sure if it depends on hardware).

Now, I've some new notes about this bug :

* When the SMS arrive, the screen light on and I see the lock screen
during 3 seconds (during this time I see the 1 message received dialog
appears) and after it normally suspends (with aux green blinking)
* if I press power button to resume from suspend, screen stays black
(even if I press several times)
* some times after the screen power on (I don't know really exact time,
but it seems to be long so about 20 seconds)

Hope this help,

I've tried it and in fact, your PC will run QtMoko directly on tty1

Re: [QtMoko] new version of FBReader with Qt4

2013-05-26 Thread Adrien Dorsaz
Hello,

I've tried latest qtmoko-fbreader and I was unable to run it. I've tried
by console (by ssh) and I've found this error :

loading /opt/qtmoko/lib/zlibrary/ui/zlui-qt4.so
libgps.so.20: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

So I've installed libgps-dev and I was able to run it (I haven't gpsd
installed on my QtMoko v55 on GTA04). Maybe we should add dependency in
the package ?

Hello!

I don't remember the solution, but there was already a discussion about
that here :

IIRC, udevd isn't relevant for GTA02 (but needed for GTA04) and so it
can be deactivated.

Formatted as ext3, copyd the archiv and:

 After reboot everything seems OK.
Then I connected with ssh and:

I repeated this with the same result.
Now I'm going to format and untar again but without upgrade.

What must be fixed before I can use upgrade again?

QtMoko dev : smooth scrollbar

2013-05-16 Thread Adrien Dorsaz
Hello!

I've just found the qtmoko/doc/html/index.html file and I've seen that
the really good scrollbar used in the mail application, application
list, ... is the QSmoothList.

As I found this scrollbar good, I want to know if you think that it's
possible to generalize this scrollbar for other widgets like
QScrollArea. Indeed I like the Arora web browser, but the scroll bar is
really not adapted to finger scroll.

I've made some tests and I've seen that's the relevant code is inside
the event management. However, I've never made directly new qt widget so
maybe it's impossible.

Have you some hint ?

Thanks,
Adrien

QtMoko dev : script insertion in path by external application

2013-04-14 Thread Adrien Dorsaz
Hello!

I'm still working on getcal application which is a GUI to save calendar
server settings and call scripts from ics2qtcal application.

The first version is almost finished (see https://github.com/Trim/getcal
), but I'm stuck with a point : this GUI uses QProcess to call scripts
from ics2qtcal and I don't know how I can put the scripts in path.

I think, I've to make a debian package to do this correctly, but up to
now I didn't need to make debian package to run it on my phone (I
updated my QtMoko directly using my own builds).

Is there's some documentation/recommendation to make debian packages for
QtMoko ?

I've seen in documentation we could make qpk packages, but I suspect
that this won't work anymore with recent QtMoko (because we install
now .deb packages) and I wanted to add dependencies (e.g., on perl) to
be useful, so I can't use them.

Adrien

 Qtmoko installed.

 Matteo

I know this sync capability. But there is no need to give Google
these data, too! They know too much, already!

I'm using ownCloud, but not with openmoko.
That's just because I haven't actually trialled it yet.

This application is named (that's not really a name...), because it
takes ics files and push them into qtmoko database.
So, it should work with every calendar servers which provides ICS files
to read calendars (personally, I use it with my DaviCal server).

I want to stress too, that this application doesn't sync your
calendars, but just take them from the net and display them in QtMoko
calendar. I'm not working with syncing tool, because
I don't really need it and because there's already a Sync with google
calendar option in the QtMoko calendar code (I didn't have time to read
this part of code to see if it depends on google API or on Ical RFC).

I'm working on a GUI to save configurations and to call the script
easier. I've some code right now, it works but it's really experimental
: I don't use correctly QProcess to call perl scripts and so it doesn't
work with actual ics2qtcal version, but I was able to use it once :) You
can see work in progress here : https://github.com/Trim/getcal

(as you can see I'm learning C++ and Qt with this application, and so
the code isn't really well developed)

So this evening I had the black screen bug. In this case, dbus daemon is

In fact, I was dist-upgrading with cable plugged and I had some error
with apt-get (I didn't take time to read the log, because navit isn't
very important for me). I don't know if it's wired with these errors.

In the same time, in another ssh connexion, I was trying to run another

list. And that's when I wanted to see result on the screen that I've
seen the black screen.

I let you my syslog and my apt-log in attachements.

Hope that help,

Re: Qtmoko v52-armhf : Issue to resume

2013-02-14 Thread Adrien Dorsaz
Hello!

But we have /opt/qtmoko/bin/after-resume.sh - this is script
(currently unused), which is executed after resume. So you can easily
 add check there.

If dbus is for some reason crashing or is stopped then we have to
figure out why. I guess QtMoko cant work much without dbus, since it's
used for bluetooth and maybe other things...

I think that's better because, it seems that restarting dbus permit to
run qpe, but yesterday I've seen that QtMoko wasn't well responding when
I did it.

I've just enabled logging and hope to have the bug as soon as possible.

2013-02-13 Thread Adrien Dorsaz
Hello,

I've had again this issue this afternoon and I've noticed that dbus
wasn't running (using service dbus status).

I don't know how the resume works in QtMoko for qpe service, but I've
seen in /etc/init.d/qtmoko-gta04 that dbus is already marked in required
services. Should the dbus requirement checked in the /opt/qtmoko/qpe.sh
or in /opt/qtmoko/bin/qpe to be sure it's runing at resume ?

The verification could be simply made using service dbus status with
something like :

service dbus status
if [ $? -eq 0 ]; then
  service dbus start
fi

My phone just fall in the second case and I was able to connect on it
with ssh.

I've just been able to discuss with Radeck on IRC and we had these
results :
top says me that qpe is using CPU between 10-25% (it's often at 25%).
ls -la /dev/ttyHS* command gives me : [1] (it seems ok).

I wanted to strace qpe and I've seen that it changes pid every 10
seconds, so it seems that qpe can't be runned correctly. So, I've
runned : strace -p `ps -A | grep qpe | grep -v qpe.sh | cut -d' ' -f1`
and saved it on my server [2]. There's a segfault at the end, maybe
that's the error.

I've just updated a small tool to import ics files written in shell/perl
by Mossroy :
https://github.com/Trim/qtmoko-ics2qtcal

(Please note that, it removes all appointements before to import
calendars and so there's no synchronisation with calendar server)

As you can see, all the data of qtmoko calendar are stored in the
database /home/root/Applications/Qtopia/qtopia_db.sqlite and espcially
in the appointements table.

So, I think you can easily export data to ics files by creating a qtmoko
specific DateTime::Format builder for this database.

Re: qtmoko calendar

2013-02-07 Thread Adrien Dorsaz
I think you can modify the wget loop :
https://github.com/Trim/qtmoko-ics2qtcal/blob/master/sync4ics2openmoko.sh#L19
to loop on a variable from 1 to any number instead on arguments (you
should add option --tries 1 to avoid to be stucked 20 times on a file).

It should work, if names are simply number.ics, but it won't be really
optimized.

Otherwise, I don't really know wget/curl to retrive all files from a
server. Maybe you can find an index of files at some address (I don't
know if apache have a special address to display index) ?

is it possible to retrieve more ics from remote url/server recursively?

 http://foobar.foo/2.ics, http://foobar.foo/8.ics ,
http://foobar.foo/43.ics... but I don't have an exactly clue about the
 name/numer of ics files...
the main problem to me seems to retrieve all the ics files stored on the
remote server through wget/curl etc, without knowing exactly haow many
they are and especially without knowing the name of every single ics file

I've just updated a small tool to import ics files written in shell/perl
  by Mossroy :
  https://github.com/Trim/qtmoko-ics2qtcal

(Please note that, it removes all appointements before to import
calendars and so there's no synchronisation with calendar server)

As you can see, all the data of qtmoko calendar are stored in the
  database /home/root/Applications/Qtopia/qtopia_db.sqlite and espcially
  in the appointements table.

So, I think you can easily export data to ics files by creating a qtmoko
specific DateTime::Format builder for this database.

Upgrading QtMoko kernel

I've just seen this commit :
https://github.com/radekp/qtmoko/commit/683ff99d7262950da179a30b59cd6b4fadd80454

So to test it, I've compiled latest sources of QtMoko. But I've 3.5
kernel, so where can I found this kernel or how can I compile/upgrade
it ?

Thanks,

Re: QtMoko v49

2012-11-22 Thread Adrien Dorsaz
Hello!

I've just received my gta04 tomorrow, installed Qtmoko v49 and even had
a call ! Thanks GoldenDelicious and Qtmoko !

During the call, I heard well my correspondant, but he had a not really
good back sound from my microphone (he said that it was like if the
network connection will be shortly interrupted).

I've tried to modify microphone and playback volume with the NeoControl
tool during the call, it worked a bit better after, but not as good as
my correspondant wanted.

I'll try later (maybe tomorrow) with qtmoko v48, but I already
appreciate to be able to have a conversation with others and with
linux :)

This morning, after I've installed qtmoko v49, I've tried to install
qtmoko v48 and after shr on my sdcard, but none worked. It seems like if
I'm only now able to run qtmoko v49 (which I had installed again after).
Maybe the issue comes from me (miss-reading instructions or so), but it
seems strange.

   * using pulseaudio for sounds
   * using pasuspender to pause media during calls and state switching
   * fixed DTMF tones on gta04 (Neil Jerram)
   * fixed USSD message box size (Stefan Rupp)
   * A3 earpiece state uses HiFi priority (Neil Jerram)
   * modem is now in 3g mode since modem usb disconnect fix is in kernel
   * modem dissapearing from usb in now logged to /modem_reenumerate.log
   * lot of work on debian package (Gilles Filippini)
   * fixed pkg-config handling (Gilles Filippini)
   * ogg metadata plugin (Neil Jerram)
   * fixed empty email content with windows charset (Neil Jerram)

   * arora provides web access e.g. for web links in email (Neil Jerram)
   * mokofaen - space for 10 and more satellites (Neil Jerram)
   * qmplayer scans for webm and mkv now too
   * ssh access in allowed only on usb now (Paul Ferster, lindi)
   * updated build instructions - cross building is now done in chroot
   * using now glib even loop
   * parallel make option in configure for -build-qt option
   * pc build
   * kernel changes:
   * external gps antenna should work now (Christoph Mair)
   * avoid errors by stoping omap DMA channels before unlinking (Neil Brown)
   * CONFIG_TIDSPBRIDGE=m so that we can use dsp
   * jffs2 as module so that we can mount hw validation in nand
   * fixed modem disapearing from usb (Dr. H. Nikolaus Schaller)

The most important thing is that ringtones and sound in calls should now
thanks to gstreamer and pulseaudio work. It basically works now like this:

All sound goes to pulseaudio. When there is a call the state switching and sw-
voice routing is done via pasuspender. Pasuspender pauses all other audio
streams and closes soundcard so that alsactl can do state switching and gsm-
 voice-routing can route voice.

Please note that pulseaudio is in the image completely unconfigured. It is
launched by /opt/qtmoko/pulse.sh scripts. I have noticed occasional clicking
 -
this happens when pulseaudio ends and is restarted. I havent discovered yet
 why it's ending - maybe allow-exit = no option in /etc/pulse/daemon.conf
 will help...

You can also try media player - it can now play videos.

Other changes are quite self explaining.

As for future - in master we have now nearly working QtMoko on top of Qt
4.8.3. There is just one bug that has to be fixed and it looks that QtMoko
 now
also runs decently on debian wheezy/armhf so this could be our target for
 v50.
We will also have support for html5 video when we switch to qt 4.8 - i have
tested youtube and dailymotion and they work (although with glitches)...

Another thing that would be nice to get fixed is the tarball size. It went
from 98MB to 160MB due to gstreamer dependecies. I wonder how this could be
solved. I dont think we need all the plugins that make it so big, but debian
has all in one big package...

If you are wondering about Freerunner - i am going to skip this release,
there's not much useful for Freeruner now. I will do release for Freerunner
 with Qt 4.8 later.

Thanks everybody who helped with this release - special thanks to Neil Jerram
 and Gilles!

 Enjoy the release

 Radek

Re: Bye SHR, hello QTMoko (and battery life)

2012-10-05 Thread Adrien Dorsaz
Hello!

If you enable deep sleep the values should be something like 10..12mA

I've just seen yesterday that this option was unchecked on my GTA02 and
now suspend current is between 10..12mA too instead of 25mA.

As I've seen on openmoko.org deep sleep seems related to the #1024 (so
the gsm suspend). Does this option only suspend the GSM or also
wifi/bluetooth (I don't know if it's the case with a simple suspend) ?

Does this bug and fix are also existing on GTA04 or that was solved by
Golden Delicious ?

Re: yberbrowser controls

2012-09-18 Thread Adrien Dorsaz
hi,

 * to go back on page one has to slide the page to make the top bar visible
and then one can use the green arrow on the right to go back

It seems that with Qt 4.7, you can click on the back button (the one in
the bottom toolbar of QtMoko) directly to go one page back (I think it's
because of Qt 4.7, because Arora have same behavior now).

For the wish list, I think it could be good to have also on option to
set UAgent to mobile or not (it seems to be a normal UAgent for
yberbrowser). And when the UAgent is set to mobile, the display (width
and height properties of the body tag) size should be the screen size.

Maybe the new CPU of the GTA04 will be able to compile Firefox/Fennec ?
If I remember correctly we won't be able to compile Fennec on GTA02
because it was an ARMv4, but now the GTA04 has an ARM A8 processor.

adrien

Hi community !

It makes a long time that there were a french sub-community hosted on

Last year his activity were very low, but a lot of us were waiting news
about the new GTA04 board (the price was expensive for most of us, so I
think some were saving up and waiting feedbacks).

Although, two weeks ago I wanted to ask rights to write news on their

swap38 on xmpp (I wasn't in contact with him, but I've been able to send
him some messages) and write a mail to the adress in the whois database
(whois was updated July 11. 2012) but neither answer me.

Does someone have a straight contact with swap38 or know if he's in
holidays ? It's really sad to have lost the wiki, forums and blog which
were a lot of ressources for french reading people.

I hope good news :)

Faenqomod new title.xml file

2012-07-01 Thread adrien

Hi community,

I'm pleased to show my hacks on the faenqomod to have new wifi and gps
buttons in the title bar (taken from finxi theme) and to be able to
always show/mask keyboard.

I've also removed the clock in the title, because I don't need to
always see the hour and, if I want, I just need to push AUX button to
see the time in the home screen.

One more change : the keyboard button has now a smaller width but a
larger height. I think that's better for fingers, but I've only tried
with mine :) So feedback is appreciated.

You can see two screenshots here :

https://www.adorsaz.ch/public/faenqomod2.png

The new title.xml file is here :
https://www.adorsaz.ch/public/title.xml

Finally, you'll need to copy gps-on.pic, gps-fix.pic and
wifi-enabled.pic from /opt/qtmoko/pics/themes/finxi to
/opt/qtmoko/pics/themes/faenqomod.

I'm very happy to be able to hack QtMoko so easily with xml and svg

QtMoko v45 : keyboard layout and emails

2012-06-19 Thread adrien

Hello!

I was playing with keyboard layouts and I've made this : I've added an
ABC mode (so the abc mode, but shifted) and I modified the switch
button to reflect which will be the next layout.

I needed an ABC shifted to be able to access easily to big letters
(that's often needed when I'm writing emails or SMS) and to have some
punctuation characters (I'm french-writing, so I added in additional
é

and à characters).

I joined to this mail my new svgkbd directory.

One other thing : I've noticed last week that we could have emails in
QtMoko but I didn't found the way to configure accounts. In fact, I had
to search qtopia email on the Web and read mailing lists to found
documentation. So, I think we should add the Open Messages application
- Options-Account Settings-Options-Add account tip to the QtMoko
wiki (I'll make it tomorrow evening if the wiki is open).

My first idea to found some Account Manager was to look for in the
QtMoko Settings (but I found only Gtalk), so I wanted to know if you
think relevant to add an entry Account Settings in this area ?

Thanks,
Adrien Dorsaz

hi robin,

no I didnt check if locales are generated (maybe you can give me a

There's a package in Debian to do it : apt-get install locales (you
should do it with ssh to be able to select language). If you want more
documentation to do it without the package :
http://people.debian.org/~schultmc/locales.html

I thought that any utf-8 character could be displayed
but I guess that is not generally true.

I'm not sure if this is so, but the square display is generally the
sign

that it leaks some characters (like for Japanese/Chinese website).

Re: Discussion: what are your dreams for the Openmoko Community

2012-05-01 Thread Adrien Dorsaz
Hello,

My dreams for my first smartphone are to be able to :

  * have an as free as possible phone and use it as main phone
  * have a good calendar which manages multiple calendars (exactly
like dates) and CalDav (which lakes of dates)
  * have my contacts (phone numbers and e-mails) also with CardDav
  * read my RSS storms with RSSLounge
  * have a good alarm that can have multiple recorded alarms (like
the one of Android)
  * have wifi usable and be able to navigate on my favorite websites

More generally, I would to be able to have an access to all services of
my home server.

One note : I would to be able to use/install applications without to
have a GMail, Facebook or whatever account. I know it's easy to have
that with GTA02, but with development of Android (the one from Google)
and iOS, it isn't so trivial...

I would also to be proud to say to others : That's just a free
smartphone with awsome applications, with Debian (or another
distribution) and without spying application inside.

Re: Announcement: new batches of GTA04 ready for (pre)order

2011-11-17 Thread Adrien Dorsaz
Hi,

Thanks for your announcement Nikolaus, it's really great !

I've just a little question more : I know that I can't buy a GTA04
before autumn 2012, have you planed to make other batches later ? Or
even to have some partners who will sell your mother board at every
moment ?

I don't know if it's possible to have so partnership because it's only a
mother board and not a complete phone...

Thanks,
Adrien

Qt extended 4.4 on X11

2008-10-03 Thread Adrien de Sentenac
Hello,
are there plans for ASU to use Qt extended (Qtopia) 4.4 ?
I've seen there is a number of bug related to qtopia tools in the call
for community action, and I am willing to try to fix some of these,
but I was wondering if it wouldn't be a better idea to work on the 4.4
version of those tools.
Regards,
Adrien

not really a usable answer - /etc/init.d/xserver-nodm restart

pkill qpe works too, and it's faster to type in ;)

is there any info on the workings of the defautl keyboard? I am trying

Re: ASU Illume Tango Theme

2008-09-08 Thread Adrien de Sentenac
I went completely blue :D
For gtk (/usr/share/themes/Moko/gtk-2.0/gtkrc) and for qt
(/opt/Qtopia/etc/default/Trolltech/qpe.conf).
You'll find both files attached as well as the mandatory screenshots
(qtmail for qt and tangogps for gtk).
Feel free to improve both files and share your results!

Thanks... I don't know why I didn't try to edit that file before... I've
already looked into it, but I thought that only the colors-scheme files
 were processed :P

 Btw I've worked a little on it [1]! :P

Re: Duke Nukem 3D on Openmoko Neo

2008-09-06 Thread Adrien de Sentenac

Selon Marco Trevisan (Treviño) [EMAIL PROTECTED]:

  BTW Rafael, thanks... Cool work!

 Indeed, I'm impressed !

I'm having problems opening doors though. According to
 http://fz.hobby-site.org/om/duke-nukem-3d/how-to-play-duke.png, I should
 just
press the lower left corner of the screen but this only makes my duke jump.
 Is
it a calibration problem in landscape mode ? What application could I use
 to
 check/calibrate it ?

I've the same problem, the space button is located completely at the
bottom of the screen, and the jump button is at the place of the space
button on the picture. It makes it really hard to open door (but not
unfeasible).
Though once, I seems to have got the buttons at the correct places.
The sound is kinda strange too.
Apart from that, it's a great port ! Wonderful job !

Re: ASU gtkrc

2008-09-06 Thread Adrien de Sentenac
Thanks !

I've only changed the colors to match (more or less :-D) the Tango theme
colors if anyone is interested.

2008/9/6 Radek Bartoň [EMAIL PROTECTED]

 Hello.

I've modifed default gtkrc in /usr/share/themes/Moko/gtk-2.0/gtkrc file to
correspond with 2008.8 Qtopia theme. I'm posting it as attachment if it
 will
pass to the list. Screenshot is here:
 http://blackhex.no-ip.org/screenshots/13/large

It's little slower because of gradients but it's bearable. It need some
 futher
tweeks which I could not manage by my empiric modification method (change
something and check what it does). Especially I would like to ged rid of
frame borders on Trip and Friend tabs in TangoGPS, fix lighter buttons on
 top
of Map tab when they are clicked and change information line with speed on
Map tab in fullscreen mode from red color to black as it is in
 non-fullscreen
mode. I also could not manage to enable gradients for rest of bottom tab
buttons. Tesing and fixes in other GTK application will also be required.

 Thanks for any comments.
