mike,
You have some good points. I went back and did some research. I will start
with my own summary and add some references at the end.

Not true. From Cnet.
The successful attack on the second and final day of the contest required a

Nothing was downloaded to the machine and run, indeed this exact attack

I don't know if that is the single biggest security flaw, but it is
certainly in the top ten.
Your simple math would get you one of those sub-prime mortgages. I know
many people buying Macs, but very few of them plan to run Windows.
Those who do run Windows only run it for some precious Windows only
application.

How did he say apple was pushing them? Pushing them to do what?
Windows has traditionally had bolted-on security that is easily weakened
by the user. That results in many vulnerable computers that are
basically there for the taking. Mac OS X has the benefits of security
designed in at all levels (from freeBSD). These people are evil, but
not stupid.

The problem with those figures is they don't show OS share, only hardware.
As has been obvious on this list for some time now, a lot of people are
buying Macs and installing Windows. It's getting rare to find a Mac owner
that doesn't run both OS's, thus seriously skewing the stats.

the possibility of running Windows skew the numbers? Have you

(Have you reported this group's drug use?)
