a dear friend of mine.Her name is /was Patricia Cairns born around 1936
&her address was Church View, Sion Mills, Co Tyrone.My friend is David
Townsend, he is a fit 85 year old who lost both his wife and daughter last
year and would love to hear from her.They courted innocently for about four

Your family matches my Mother in Law's family members a few Generations back.  
Uncle James Balentine attended my wedding in 1October 1959.  He died shortly 
afterward.  However, the James Balentine family was from Coatesville, 
Pennsylvania.  You can contact me if you would like atlpnca...@aol.com.  There 
are direct relatives to the Balentine family on Ancestry.com.  Melanie Flowers 
is in the direct line, and my daughter's Hoffman line.  We are Back to the 
Mayflower Family.I have not seen any connections back to Kentucky.  I believe 
we have a James Ballentine married to Nancy Fulton, but I am not able to find 
the information at this time.

who was born in Ireland in 1824-5 either Cork, or Clare, but he was in the

 In January of 2018, you added an article on Joseph Dougherty, the Canadian
buried in the Grange. His sister was my grandmother, Martha Doherty Clements
who lived at Lower Tully across the border in Londonderry before emigrating
to Canada.

Based on medical reactions and testing of descendants in both families,
Joseph and Martha were carriers of a genetic condition, known as malignant
hyperthermia or MH.  The University of Cork has centre for study of this
condition which is known in Irish families. It is an autosomal dominant
condition. DNA testing is not  definitive and muscle biopsies are often
used.

I have Mayflower families, but the Stinson's are on my tree, but not a 
Mayflower family. You, of course, know that fact.  My Mayflower families are 
the Allerton's and the Cushman's that married.  I also have the Tuttle family 
tree that sailed on to Boston and settled there and Hartford Conneticut and 
owned the land that is

Extracted from the Tyrone Constitution [Omagh, Co. Tyrone], October 29 1869:

On Saturday morning last, a woman named JANE McSHANE, of Donaghanie [Clogherney 
parish], was proceeding to Omagh Market, seated on a load of flax, when she 
fell off receiving a fracture of one of her legs, besides sustaining injuries 
to other parts of her body. She was admitted to the [Omagh] Infirmary same day 
and still remains there under medical treatment.

Additional notes: There are no McShanes recorded as tithe payers in the 
Clogherney Parish tithe applotment book (1826), but three families are recorded 
at Donaghanie in Griffiths Valuation of Clogherney c1860:

As a long term contributor to County Tyrone research, I wish to contribute to 
the current topic of discussion.

Since 2010, acting entirely as a volunteer, I have transcribed in excess of 850 
files of genealogical data relevant to County Tyrone; tithe applotment books 
for all parishes within the county, assizes proceedings, bankruptcies, personal 
notices from the press, births, deaths and marriages, church records, estate 
records and rentals, famine and poor law records, headstones, trade directories 
and a great deal more. I calculate to have expended 8,000 hours for the benefit 
of Tyrone genealogical researchers. Additionally, the expense of hiring FHL 
films from Salt Lake City exceeds $800 and let’s not overlook subscription 
costs for well-known genealogical websites and useful periodicals.

All transcribed files were sent to Jim McKane with the clear understanding that 
he owned the domain name cotyroneireland.com. I have been assured on occasions 
that the valuable data I was transcribing was for cotyroneireland.com only and 
would not be shared under any circumstances. My loyalty is to Jim McKane 
(always professional and ready to give assistance), never Rootsweb. I retain 
full copyright of my work and have not, do not and will not allow my work to be

The RC registers you are seeking are available for searching online. Omagh town 
lies within Drumragh parish. It will also be worth your while to refer to the 
registers of adjacent parishes – Cappagh and Langfield and perhaps others. Many 
emigrants stated their place of origin as the closest post town, not their 
actual residential address.
