It's easy, but disingenuous, to blame Microsoft. The email programs I used
before there was such a thing as MS Outlook used top posting in replies.
I never even knew bottom posting was a thing until I got flamed on this group
for top posting.

Hi
Top quoting is not the "Linux Way". Top Quiting is the preferred quoting
method since ages, for

I'd say this is a troll..
Personally, I prefer top posting. It's really annoying when someone doesn't
trim their reply and I have to scroll way down to find the most current
response.
FWIW top posting is the default of every mail client I've used on Linux and
android.

Hi Andrew, thanks for your patience with this trivial question. I am stuck
with using chrome or outlook for my email posts. This email is from Chrome.
I just click on reply all to your last post. Am I better off clicking reply
all on the very original post, in this case from Jan?

Hi Jan,
I agree with Patrick's suggestion to destroy your library.db. You are
aware of the darktable folder in the user folder on Windows. I would
delete it and all traces of Darktable from your system. I had to do this
when I reverted a student's DT from version 3.60 to version 3.4 because

I forgot to mention: I have deleted every file and folder of the 3.6.0
version with Revo uninstaller. And expected that only the new
installation would start.

You've updated the ~/.config/darktable/ config files, etc

Hello,
I'm not sure if I'm using the correct email addres about my trouble
installing darktable 3.6.1 over the old installation 3.6.0
I have lost the different email addresses of the list.
I have the new darktable installed in a seperate directory, so I could
continue work with the old one.
