Bug#413811: kpowersave: fails to notify if suspend-to-ram fails

2007-03-07 Thread Marcus Better
There's already a similar bug report http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=410818 I don't experience the problem described there. s2ram seems to return a sensible exit code (0 on success, 127 on failure), and this is passed back by HAL to kpowersave, which fails to understand it.

Bug#410818: s2ram's stderr output needs to be sent to /dev/null

2007-03-07 Thread Marcus Better
I don't experience this problem. I'm using hal 0.5.8.1-6.1, KDE, kpowersave and uswsusp. Looking at the file /usr/lib/hal/scripts/linux/hal-system-power-suspend-linux, I don't see how stderr output could possibly be a problem. It's probably not a HAL bug... pgp7K82E0XHZj.pgp Description: PGP
