As an upstream INN maintainer, I agree with this change from an upstream

package does not provide that file.

Here is a patch for /usr/lib/news/bin/scanlogs (Debian default location).
It also fixes another bug (the rotation of send-nntp.log and send-uucp.log)
and does a little clean up.

i have to add that local rule, mainly because len: nnn Mbytes now have
a decima point.
Isn't it an issue which should be for logcheck?
I believe their rule file for innd should be updated.

Regarding Etch lilo, there is a problem with the bitmaps:
/usr/share/lilo/sarge.bmp is still present, and not etch.bmp.
I believe the right thing to do in the future is to use:
/usr/share/lilo/stable.bmp
/usr/share/lilo/testing.bmp
