If multiple Nautilus windows are opened then the HUD only shows nautilus menu
items if invoked from the primary window. So to replicate:
Open Nautilus on the home folder.
Open another Nautilus window.

I found a workaround for this. On my system I ran the following on the
command line...
gksudo gedit /etc/pm/config.d/modules
...and added the line...

If you don't have gedit, then you can use any text editor to edit the
file /etc/pm/config.d/modules but you have to run the editor with
administrative privileges otherwise you won't be able to save the file.
For example from the command line you could run...
sudo vi /etc/pm/config.d/modules
it's abit difficult to reproduce, directly after the reboot poweroff
powers the system off. The system can't power off just it was used.
Simply login into the unity session and then poweroff doesn't reproduce
this issue. any ideas?

computer insists on connecting to the AP which is at least 7 meters away
with 2 floors and a few walls in between. But strangely, before I setup
the 10.0.0.1 connection it cannot connect to that AP successfully...

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. It seems that there was an error on your system when
trying to install a particular package. Please execute the following
command, as it will clear your package cache, in a terminal:
sudo apt-get clean
Then try
Note that when the terminal prompts for a password, the characters you
type are hidden (not even '*'s will show). Just type your password and
press enter. If apt-get install -f does not work, please post the output
you get.

In my case, this error persists until Firefox 14.0.1.
I tried with '-safe-mode', disabling languages, addons and plugins but
I never got that dialogue displayed.
I found that this problem didn't occur with other profiles, so I created
a new profile and imported all my data and preferences
I have verified that software-center version 5.2.5 in precise-proposed
fixes this bug per the test case given in the description.
