left me with a command line login prompt after boot. It turned out that
LightDM will start neither
I reinstalled the proposed plymouth/lightdm packages, confirmed that I have the
unmodified files from both packages.

I have the same problem on an eeePC 1215N, Ubuntu 13.04 32 bits.
I found a workaround to get maximum brightness back:
sudo setpci -s 00:02.0 f4.b=ff
It resets the maximum brightness to maximum.
If it does not work for you, try another PCI device (find the adress with
lspci), like
sudo setpci

- usb device is not visible sometimes in sound settings after resume from

Xorg is pegged constantly redrawing the panel
Hello. I have the same problem in Gnome Shell on Ubuntu 13.04 32-bit.
This happens on both flash and HTML5 videos, but not when watching on
youtube.com directly. For example the problem appears when video is
embeded on other sites or posted on facebook.
