For the record: this crash is unlikely to happen out there: it happened
on my machine because I had an additional service file for the google
account, which I've been using for development/testing purposes.

and nm-applet asks for the password (even though it's stored) every few

Thanks Pablo for reporting this issue; it looks like a bug in the application
using Online Accounts, which attempts to use the accounts even when there is no
internet connection.
I think that the google drive lens is the responsible here.

@Clint: the only steps required for reproducing this bug is having a Google
account configured in the Online Accounts applet in the System Settings. Once
the account is configured, several programs including Empathy (the chat) and

now redirecting to an http page, which we refuse to open for security reasons.
I guess we'll have to give up on security and open it anyways. :-(

fact, if you disable nautilus autostart (by removing the
/etc/xdg/autostart/nautilus.desktop file), the desktop background will
not be painted.

Still, the reason for the delay in creating the UI is unclear. I never managed
to reproduce it myself.
