P.S.: Since these binaries have a different release cycle than the rest
of the code (I think we could compile them one/two three times a year,
right?) we could create a new repository "netbeans-binaries" to build
these (having the Net
release NB20 we'll vote for the new release as we always do
(including those Apple Silicon binaries compiled from our own APLv2
sources). A single vote will do for everything. Why adding an extra vote?

Some of the committers around (not me, though) use NetBeans as a
platform for building applications, or to build plugins, so it's always
a good idea to ask in the mailing list when suggesting an API change.

itself. These breaking changes should be submitted in a specific
pull-request, and don't really belong to a unit-test pull request.
