Not strictly all brand questions so consider this more of an answer from
an experienced ASF Member.
Yes you can charge.
Yes you can have sponsors.
Generally, you need to keep in mind that you need to avoid undermining
the ASF-wide sponsor system. Generally, you can mention the sponsor on

I think it is worth mentioning the sponsors also tend to be companies we ‘vet’

help out (or have our supporters in positions of influence) rather than looking
for aggressive marketing opportunities.

Hi all,
1. May we list this event details at
http://netbeans.apache.org/community/events.html ?
2. May we mention the sponsors (and a link to them) there as well?
Thanks,

Hi Apache Brand Team,
A follow up question: "I think we should also clarify if we are allowed to
charge or have sponsorship for the events. At NetBeans events in the UK, we
have had sponsors so we can run a free event with food."
What is the requirement/s re sponsorship of Apache events? We tend

I would add to the requirements that the use of the "Apache NetBeans

The other aspect is, now that we have approval for these events from
@trademark, Bertrand has suggested that we have a LAZY VOTE (i.e., if no
one objects within 72 hours, it's a go) for each individual separate event
here on @dev, with PPMC members having a binding vote. That would ratify

Hi all,
We should list those events at [1] so they are rendered at [2]. Would
anyone please submit a PR against incubator-netbeans-website stating
event dates, location (ideally with a Google Maps link or similar),
homepage and speakers?
Thanks,

Thanks for the clarification. On that basis, no objections here. Good luck
with the events.

Yes, I confirm the event complies with the Apache policy -- and indeed the
new logo and also 'Apache NetBeans (incubating)' will appear on the page.

Hi,
A couple of questions.
1. Who is organising this event? Is it the PPMC or is it Greenwich Bright?
2. There needs to be an "Apache NetBeans" on the EventBright page
somewhere. Exactly where depends on the answer to the first question.
3. Have you read http://www.apache.org/foundation/marks/e
Hello trademarks team,
The Apache NetBeans community has continual smallish events, of about 50 or
60 attendees, for which we'd like permission to hold them:

The next upcoming such event is Apache NetBeans Day in the UK:
