I'm posting this to the dev-list rather than carrying on with Bugzilla,

The xdocs directory contains TEST doucmentation for the Maven build.
The doc directory contains the REAL documentation that is used by the

The Maven build is still experimental (as far as I'm concerned) but the
idea is that the Struts documentation (in doc) will be modified into a

We don't keep the generated HTML files under CVS, so that doesn't apply.
Basically, you need to generate the site locally, then upload it to
/www/jakarta.apache.org/struts on cvs.apache.org. (You should have
access as you're a member of the Jakarta group). You can do that via a

I'd like to follow-up on just one point - reviewing of patches.
Anyone can monitor bugzilla and review patches when they come in. If
several people send feedback, via bugzilla or via the mailing lists, it
might speed up the process of getting those patches into CVS.

Michael,
Quick comments on your suggestion. Please don't mistake the brevity for
abruptness - just lack of time on my part.
I agree with pretty much everything Niall said in his previous reply, with
the following 2 cents-worth.

IMHO DispatchActions are more of a programmer convenience, than an
additional level of controller. I don't use them to dynamically select the
action at runtime (the job of the controller), just to let me organize code
together and avoid duplication where the code seems to "belong" together.

I have removed content from the Wiki which I found objectionable.
Ironically, the piece asks that critics, "Please be respectful", while the
author has been decidedly disrespectful, on the Wiki and mailing list, to

Michael,
The short answer to people "messing with your format" is to publish your
ideas/comments on your own web site. Then you could add a link from the Wiki
if you wish.
I encourage you to do so, or accept the fact that a Wiki page is a communal
resource.

Michael,
Could you please link to the relevant content directly, rather than your

interested in.
If you just want to link to your homepage, then I think a single reference,

Yes that was the latest version. I've just updated it for 1.3.
I still need to update the license and make it build with Maven.
If there are no objections, I'll check it in as /apps/cookbook later
this evening.
As long as it doesn't jeopardize my emeritus status ;-)
