Well I received my Transporter on Friday after contacting at least half
a dozen suppliers before finding one with a Black one in stock. At
least two of the suppliers I contacted implied that there was a price
increase coming, now whether this was just a ploy to get me to back
order one from them

There were no incorrect paths in the playlists - some of them are even
new since I moved the library - anyway I hit the menu item problem
before even attempting to execute a playlist.
As I said, I suspect the menu problem is somehow caused becuase the
perl TEMP directory couldn't be acccessed.
Got a wee problem with some artists in my library
For some reason unknown to me,slimserver is listing some of my albums
twice. For example... I have 'Grace' by Jeff Buckley. 'Grace' is listed
twice when I search Jeff Buckley either through slimserver or through
SB. Tracks 1 to 4 come under

May I tack on a question: I have .m4a playing fine, but mine is an old
PC and I suspect there is quite an overhead for transcoding on the fly.

The love affair with my SB3 has hit its first 'speed bump'!
I have a lareg (1,000) albums on CD and an even larger (3,000) live
shows.
I am happy with the CD's artwork etc, and its very nice to browse

If you really want to try something - use mplayer.
Mplayer can play dvds and video streams and it has the facility to
alter the video/audio sync allowing either to be advanced or retarded.
Getting the right timing is hit/miss especially if the delays is in
secs.

sleep. Started slimserver and waited till I could connect to it with
the browser, hit the on button and .. nothing. After pressing the on
button for 90 sec or so the SB connected.

My artist names are not displaying in the Slimserver playlist, but only
for current and just-played songs. Future songs in the playlist show
the proper information. Then, when the next song starts playing, its
artist info. vanishes from both the SlimServer localhost webpage and
the Transporter
Since this is happening in the US and will primarily affect American web
radio, do you think it will spill over to Europe? Many times I feel that

DRM-free, lossless version of the music with a physical backup.
