I've finally managed to get a fully-working install of slimerver with alienbbc and aac-mp3 transcoding for my Slimp3 working on an ubuntu box. This was pretty much entirely due to the stuff in this forum and on the wiki since I had absolutely no idea about linux before I started the project.

USB2 external disks are fine for SqueezeCenter. If you put SqueezeCenter on your mac over wireless it would not work as well because the music stream would have to go over wireless twice and could cause the music to drop out (not play for a few seconds while it catches up) I would say it would

I have a Squeezebox 3, firmware 81 and I'm having a bit of an issue with the volume. If I change the volume from 22 to 33 there is no noticeable change, and then going to 34 it takes a big jump, and similarly no change from 34 to 45 with another large jump going to 46. Any ideas? I've had this
