Good call, mate; I didn't even think to check that. It appears the poor

Sorry to say we other squeezebox user tend drive the price up on the

Anyone have a lead on where to buy Classics / Duets / Receivers?
I have a classic that just gave out, and would like to replace it. (it
reboots on playing music - removed wireless card, hooked it via

Thanks!

I do agree that East Sussex is hardly the back of beyond.
Elevated position - anywhere near Crowborough (the highest point in
Sussex)? I lived there as a child, and
My music collection consists of roughly 1.5k albums. Scrolling down the
artist or album list to find (say) Van Der Graaf Generator) is quite
slow. Is there some faster way of scrolling lists that I've managed to
miss?
BTW. iPeng's list management works well.
Lovely clear and intuitive app
Not far from Crowborough (which i know well). A small village called
Barcombe, 3 miles North of Lewes. Off the beaten track and surrounded by
estate land (woods, pheasants and deer and the like). Barcombe is
elevated and sits above the Ouse and Bevern water courses.

I've just connected a Squeezebox Classic to my network. The Server is
LMS 7.7.1 on Windows 2008 Server. I have repeatedly renamed the
Squeezebox using the web interface, and the change seems to stick (i.e.
the new name appears on the drop-down list in the web UI), but the next
day it reverts back
We are two miles north of the south downs, so still some bumps around
and Barcombe is on one them, surrounded on all sides by river catchment.
But yes, Snowdonia it isn't!

Crowborough is well known for being a Marilyn, defined as a high point
with at least 500 feet (approx 150 m) of descent on all sides. There
aren't many of them in East Sussex!
For maps on iOS, it's worth taking a look at the 'UK Map' app, which
lets you download the freely released OS maps at
Since this Morning I cant get to Radioparadise. Not from my Computer at

I am in Europe, Switzerland. Anyone an Ideea if thats only me or have

On my App on the iPhone I can get it. It took a long time to load but no
it is working.

The SB Classic is probably registered on mysqueezebox.com. While you
rename it, the old name is retrieved from mysqueezebox.com again.

Should be fixed in the next preview! Thanks.
Those products have been discontinued for years. There were some posts
recently about random retailers who had apparently stumbled upon old SB
inventory -- sorry, but I don't have any of the links handy, but if you
search the forums for posts over the past 1-2 months using the terms SB3

You can also set its name in firmware (long press-left on the IR remote,
there is an option in Settings)
The DHCP/DNS servers on the LAN will probably see the name set in
firmware and use that too.
Then SBS/mySB.com should comply, absent of any preferences on that
player.
Sadly, I reprogrammed it, and it worked again for a while, and then -
poof, dead, reboot. Sadface. :-(.
I can get a refurb Radio for cheap and use the audio output of that (but
it's SqueezeOS, not been my BFF), but I'm going to try a Raspberry PI I
have laying around w/ Squeezeslave... though
Sorry to hear that :-(
Re Squeezeslave + Raspberry Pi, you may be able to get Pandora to work
if you have a paid Pandora One account (US$36 / year in the US). I don't
have a paid Pandora account so I can't test it to confirm, but maybe
someone else will.
Good luck!
Well I can say in Canada none of these services are available due to the
Canadian Government Digitial Copy Right Laws. I see people paying for
the Black IP / VPN services so that they appear to be from the USA when
they subscribe to the services. But is that legal?
Isn't RP based in California? Did the west coast have a storm too?

Hello,
I own 2 logitech radio's and run my own server. I'm very dissappointed
in logitech for taking this decission. Another person (50+ in age) even
bought a logitech squeezebox radio after seeing mine in action
(synchronized) during a visit.
I don't completely understand why they're doing
I thought the battery on my Duet hand control had died, but when someone
dusted it this weekend it started charging again. So it was probably
just a bad connection.
However, while it was dead I had changed my WLAN from WEP to WPA2. Same
SSID, but different encryption and different key/password.
Confirmed: I got a Raspberry Pi (was wonder what to do with it), used
Raspian, and followed this Blog

- works great. And yes, it runs Pandora if you set the Mac address to
the requested range (use the -m option or
