Question:
In our holiday flat I use Spotify on iPad streamed to an Airport
Express. By and large this works fine except for
The Airport Express keeps disappearing from the network. It takes a
power cycle for it to reappear. This is a known problem.
If your iThing dings and peeps when emails etc.
more airplay user, one more sale to Apple. One less squeezebox
user, one less sale to Logitech. Pity.

However, I've just sent one of my SBRx to mySB.com using Squeezepad and
now it's vanished without a trace. Doesn't appear on any menu. I'm just
off to get my SBC to see if I can find it that way. 7.6 btw.

This app is good and compares favourably with Squeezepad. Logitech have
readily available repeat/shuffle buttons, Squeezepad looks better and
has WOL.
The lack of WOL in the Logitech app is a major omission, and a show
stopper for me.

Just a heads-up.
I initially had problems with Squeezeplay 7.4, it wouldn't connect to
the local instance of SBS. I forgot about it for a while, and then just
tried again. With 8Nov SBS 7.4.2 and Squeezeplay it works a treat.

be set up as an additional WAP at the far end of the house? There is no
problem running an ethernet cable to it from the present router, a
Belkin 54g Cable/DSL Gateway router of ~2002-ish vintage. The Belkin
is working just fine as-is.

ethernet network, and Squeezebox Controller will use an ad-hoc
connection
to the Receiver for its network connection.
