Oh dear. I think we've already established that they are not really
droppable! Worth opening up, though, and making sure that everything
is still fully seated inside (I've not been inside an SB3 but some of
the early SR2s suffered from displaced boards in shipping).

For bpa - thanks for your interest and help, I also though something was
missing.
I used a number of urls for SKY.FM streams all of which work on Winamp
and on my PDA using TCPMP. My feeling was that Mplayer was not able to
do the conversion from AAC+ to MP3 and that some other software was
Mplayer handles the AACPlus perfectly well - I have tested Sky URLs from
the command line. The problem is that Slimserver gets its hands on the
URL first and opens it and passes stdin to Mplayer which Mplayer
doesn't like. A protocol handler is needed so that urls are identified
easily and
Good news about Mplayer ability. What about the Convert.conf (I think
its called) file in slimserver, that seems to be about protocol
identification. I don't know what it does, perhaps there is someone

I experienced this problem when wireless link was around 60% (using
Netgear 834). I disabled fade in fade out but SB continued to crash

Investigation of network traffic showed that it was peaking to maximum
on track changeover, causing the box to crash.

I've doen some testing this morning and found the following:
- The ISA server config: Windows 2000, SP4
- Slimserver is not causing the issue, it is directly related to having
the SB3 on the network.
- I pulled the box running slimserver off the network, but left the SB3

Mostly unique, yes, but nothing to guarantee non-interference... One

If that doesn't work you might need to get into the custom IR map.
