After upgrading to 6.5.2 I found some very annoying behavior when album
information is displayed. Apparently some of my albums are tagged with
extra composer information per song. This causes, for instance, that my

Weird problem. Installed 6.5.2 and did a rescan of everything.
Some Tom Waits albums (that were listed with 6.5.1) are not listed
under Tom Waits. If I search by album they are listed (as by Tom
Waits).
So why are they not listed under Tom Waits?
They are in a sub folder, i.e. Tom
Your Tom Waits albums are hanging out with my missing Johny Cash and Garbage
albums...
I am seeing similar problems.
I've tried a complete re-install as well as a wipe and rescan. I even
restored all of my albums from a backup as a sanity check.

I have the same setup in my bedroom.
I connected them with stereo to 3.5mm jack and then a barrel connector
to couple the two 3.5mm jacks together.
They do sound spretty good, but i am usually just listening to BBC
radio with them at relatively low volume. I don't know what they would
be like

No, SlimServer is a single-threaded process. When scanning, it might
use the second core, since scanning is a separate process. Also, any
transcoding can use the other core.

This very much sounds like a known problem:
MediaMonkey is a fantastic software, but unfortunately there has been a
problem with a certain MediaMonkey-Release, damaging Flac files while
tagging them. The bug has been fixed with the latest relase and there
is the possibility to repair the header.
I have the same problem here - ran with the debug as described above
and it reports...

Seems SS thought scanning was complete. It was not therefore I emailed
an incomplete logfile. Task Manager showed it was still running. I had
to do another scan overnight.

The CPU may be moving the process between cores, but it won't ever run

this forum and saving to the C drive (overwriting the nasty logitech
one) results in a rubbish-looking small logo. If anyone wants to post
a link to the proper logo, please feel free... :)

You can just delete all the composer tag info using MP3Tag. Take all of
5 seconds. With database info, it's probably better not there than
partly there ans not used or checked.

Aztec, I also had and posted about this issue after upgrading to 6.5.2
and for me forcing the firmware update on the SB3 cured my problem. If
your problem comes back, try pressing and holding brightness button to
upgrade your firmware.

which is stopped as a service and exited from the sys tray.

What format are the files in? If they're mp3, have you checked for the
presence of multiple tags (eg, ID3v1 and ID3v2, or possibly APE)?
Almost all the tagging weirdness like this I've run into is with
multiple tag types on mp3s, which can make slimserver confused.
