quite frankly, i would like to be able to ditch server altogether when i want to, and have some kind of transparent, near optionless middleware that would power the hardware. essentially, something to turn the hardware into a remote soundcard, so i could use ANY software i want, and play to it.

Having previously said that the only functionality I miss from SC is the ability to download tracks, I've just started to use Erland's Trackstat and Dynamic Playlists which SC handles pretty well. I notice someone else asked about OS supporting these plugins. Is it in the pipeline at all?

I agree with improving the touch's USB and SD card slot. I have problems with the scanning and trying to use the internal server. You should be able to copy folders from the LMS server computer to an SD card and it should work without waiting forever for the scan to complete.

I would like a button/icon that is more robust the the current add to favorite. When a song is playing you can select the ICON and you would get a list of your current playlists and and a new option in case you want a new list.
