AFAIK SB2/3 could bridge the ethernet port to wifi (but not the other way around ) . The reciever did not officially had this cabalilty but it could be turned on with the net::udap script But i think they broke the bridging functionality to cram in some fw change for a service in the SB3 , so

The minute Logitech feels they can legally drop supporting mysqueezebox and LMS , they will do it . So what is the warranty on a Touch? One year ? I give it a year or two . No more Logitech products for me . They discontinue and give up on product lines way too soon .

I would say the Touch is much more future-proof. The Touch firmware is semi-open, whereas the SB3 firmware is completely closed. Also, the SB3 resources are much scarcer, to the point where they had to stop adding features several years ago because they were basically out of memory on the SB3. As

Is there a limit or a setting to the number of songs that can be loaded into a playlist? i have an iTunes playlist with 3,500 songs and when i try to play it SB only loads the first 500. i've been doing this for years and don't recall ever hitting this kind of limit, and i can't find a

It has been there for quite some time now, probably since 7.6.0. You can change the limit using the LMS web interface. I think it's under Settings Advanced Performance. It was introduced to avoid the problems of LMS completely locking up when loading large playlists, especially on underpowered

Any reason why you're discounting Sonos? From my perspective, Sonos does everything that I need, albeit at a higher price than I would ideally like. I could probably sell my various squeezeboxes whilst they still have some market value for enough to start a 2 zone Sonos system. It's not a
