Can anyone give me a quick answer to this?
My receiver is in my garage and connected wirelessly to LMS. I'd like to
add a wireless hotpoint in my garage. Can I use the receiver as a bridge
wired to a wireless router to achieve this?

The displays on the older kit seem fault prone too, as do the speakers
on the boom if the device is run without a woofer.
My Boom needs a new display but I'm guessing they are impossible to get
hold of now.

I have only had one unit fail in 10 years, and that was a Touch that was
in my conservatory which gets warm in summer, so heat is the killer.

I agree with Mnyb on the VFD displays, keep them dim(er) or even OFF
(set to dark) for continuous play. My Boom SB3 are set to Dark for
Idle use, I change this to Brightest if company is here and seems
interested in seeing the display.

2 x Controllers (counting the one that's part of the Duet), plus the
controller app for my BlackBerry tablet

I would say the Touch is much more future-proof. The Touch firmware is
semi-open, whereas the SB3 firmware is completely closed. Also, the SB3
resources are much scarcer, to the point where they had to stop adding
features several years ago because they were basically out of memory on

It has been there for quite some time now, probably since 7.6.0. You can
change the limit using the LMS web interface. I think it's under
Settings Advanced Performance. It was introduced to avoid the
problems of LMS completely locking up when loading large playlists,
especially on underpowered
