You could edit your C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file to assign
a shortcut. I just added:
66.151.159.227 sn
and it worked fine. Just type sn. Assumes of course the IP address of
squeezenetwork.com remains constant.

Very cool! About the only thing I otherwise do when ripping is to apply

I'm used to Rhapsody being WMA 128, will everything I listen to now on

I use Analog VU Meters as my screensaver while playing. When I press
certain buttons on the remote, e.g. Sleep, the commands appear on top
of the VU meters which are still displaying. This makes things very
difficult to read from a distance.

Is it possible through a plugin or some other means to have the display
on the Classic turn off while music is playing? Touch has a setting to
allow this and its surprisingly nice to get rid of the distraction.

Not sure about your issue with SqueezePlay but I can confirm that the
Touch can play 24/96 without any buffer issues. My Squeezebox Server
is running under Win XP on a dual-core Atom. Server is wired; Touch is
wireless.

Just FYI, latest Squeezeplay plays 24/96 on my Win 7 laptop. Great FLAC
tag checker/editor is Mp3tag; have used it for years with Squeezebox
with good results. Full support for any tags you want including those
mainly used with classical, e.g. COMPOSER, CONDUCTOR.

You can configure your Win7 server so that it will only wake up upon

FWIW, SqueezePlay runs on my Win7 PC and I don't have a DIRECTIO.DLL
anywhere. I'm reaching a bit here, but did you ever set SqueezePlay to

Although it worked in the past, lately Squeeze Commander seems unable to
successfully WOL my server. Same tablet, same router, same server PC,
but different LMS -- I've updated to 7.8 beta. I checked my Win XP
server network adapter settings and nothing seems out of the ordinary.

update caused the problem as it's been two years since the last one
(v0.9.6.4). Something in the last few months has changed, however.

I don't think anything Logitech does would prevent you listening to your

Haven't used SqueezePlay for a while since switching to Squeezelite but
I never had any connectivity issues running it on Win 7. I don't recall
it being necessary to run it as Administrator.
