Are you sure the MusicIP Server is running? Point your browser to
http://localhost:10002/; you should get the MusicIP Server page.
If you don't get anything at this URL, then you need to restart the
MusicIP Server so it can communicate with SlimServer.

Another alternative: allow an option to specify maximum size of
embedded artwork (say 30k). Scale down artwork that's larger than the

I had a hum problem with my Transporter and it turned out to be caused
by the TV cable. I installed an isolation transformer on the TV cable
and the hum went away.

Another option is to install Wine on your Mac; see

Controller, the first four menu items are:

These same four menu items appear in iPeng as well. But they do not

There is plenty of screen real estate to add these two buttons without

Sometimes, the can't resolve IP address problem is due to Squeezebox
Server starting before the network connection has come up. Restarting
SBS after the network is up fixes this issue.

If you want faster scanning performance, install a 2 TB SATA drive in
your VB and use it for your music library instead of a NFS network
drive.
SBS 7.6.1 works very well on my VortexBox Appliance with this setup.
Scanning times are significantly faster than with SBS 7.5.x.

If I were facing your problem, I would delete ALL embedded artwork in
ALL music files in my SBS library, and just use a cover.jpg file in
each album directory. Then do a clear library and rescan everything.

I then add these mp3s to my iTunes library (running on a Mac).
So while there is no need to have cover art embedded in files managed
by SBS, there certainly is reason to embed art in files managed by
iTunes.
