Can anyone explain how the sort sequence is determined in the Artist list in SC 7.0.1? For example, Elvis Presley is listed under E, whereas Elvis Costello is listed under C, even though my folder names and ID3 tags are always constructed the same way - i.e. forename first. ??? -- itm

I use TagRename to manage my tags, and it doesn't provide access to the ARTISTSORT property. I actually use this to manage all of my tags, so I'm puzzled as to why this one artist would be treated differently to the others. I'll download MP3tag later and investigate further... -- itm

Thanks for your reply. I just tried your suggestion - factory reset on the controller, then powered down the receiver and did a factory reset on that too. I still didn't get the option to choose between ethernet and wireless. It's a shame that the manual doesn't say how to change this. -- itm

In the meantime I noticed that the media centre player was synced with a Squeezebox Duet receiver in another room. When I removed the sync the problem appeared to go away - 3 tracks now and it hasn't skipped. Maybe the sync was causing the problem -- itm

... I should add that Squeezeplay displays "Connecting tomysqueezebox.com" for several seconds before I see the "Problem connecting" message. If I select the "Switch Library" option it just tries "Connecting tomysqueezebox.com" again. It seems not to detect my LMS server on the network.

I don't have a settings menu. When I open Squeezeplay I get an option to select a language, then it takes me straight to trying to connect to a server itm's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17437

I finally managed to find a workaround. I created a file called ChooseMusicSource.lua (which didn't get created when Squeezeplay was installed, despite me installing/uninstalling it 3-4 times). That file directs Squeezeplay to the IP address of my LMS server. It seems that Squeezeplay maybe
