20M Net
Hi, guys
Been scanning the comments about a
20 meter net. Two concerns about 14.238. It is the primary alternate
SSTV frequency (used if 14.235 is tied up), and I seem to recall there is some
sort of DX net or group that meets there - I don't recall when, so that may not
be a

Yes 14238 is usually pritty messy. The 14270-300 slot
is usually quite calm, 14275 might be dangerous if
K1MAN´s automatic transmission comes on.

The SW-2 receiver offered as an option a remote control. I bought mine used with out that option. Looking at pictures of it, it appears to be a more or less standard remote control unit. I tried programming a couple different universal remotes to no avail. My question is, was there some type of

I just picked up a Theta 9000 which does seem to work but it came with a
Theta 7000 manual which is of little use. I know I need to get a manual

Incidentally, I've got a Drake labelled monitor which IS a BW TV set!

Rodger,
My manual seems to indicate ESC8 (hold down ESC, and tap 8) toggles between
the two modes.
Does that do it? If not, let me know and I'll keep digging.

Hi,
I'm a
K1 in 5 land but I couldn't agree more. "just do it". If it doesn't
work at whatever time or whatever frequency, you
can
move the whole gang someplace else. But talking about it and not doing it
won't get anything done!
Now,
having said that, I won't be there this Saturday.
I am interested in a 20m net and watching
developments. I am not available this Saturday due to the funeral of a
friend, but will be in the future.

I may be wrong, but I think the 3-400 chimney is too short for the
3-500Z ?? The sockets are the same.
