I am also making use of an external fan and it makes a big difference in terms of reducing heat buildup in the area of the power transformer and 6EH5. I simply attached some rubber feet to a 4 12VDC fan and let it sit over the hot region. It's powered with only 5V so the rpm is way down and

Hi Jason, I left the can in place and just disconnected it. Fresh radial caps were mounted on a small homemade PCB underneath the chassis. You need to use small modern caps in order for the board to fit. While I was in there, I went ahead and replaced the other electrolytics under the chassis (as
