anyone re-painted these and if so what paint did you use?

It was in QST. I bought the kit a couple of months ago and I highly
recommend it. Pretty easy to do and it sure made my T4-XB work like new!

Well, the pot seems to be fine with the voltage moving smoothly from 0 to 1
volt as it should. I'm still seeing the sudden jump from 0 to full power

I installed the AC4R upgrade in my AC4 this week which is a very nice kit.
The T4-XB seems to love it and was working extremely well. I spent a couple

Thanks Gary, I'll take a look at R79. If it's bad is there a replacement

Thanks Gary, I'll look at the AC-4 though I replaced the electrolytics a few
years ago. Which pin is the bias measured on? It looks like pin 9 to me
Bill Carpenter [EMAIL PROTECTED] made an utterance to the drakelist gang

Power supply seems OK. Bias adjusts from -49 to -90 and voltages at 279 and
682. Both a little high but seem OK to me. Anything else I should check

I tested the tubes on my tube tester. I know this is not always conclusive
but the meter on the tester did not move at all on either tube
My TR7 and PS7 came from a smoker and stunk. The odor absorbent did the trick
for me.

I'm still struggling with the PS7. I've replaced the 723 twice, the zener
diode and the caps seem to be OK to me. The supply works and the voltage

Yes I did and it was OK with a different supply.

My PS7 has started acting up - shutting down at around 40 watts. I replaced
the 723 regulator chip and the tip31 chip with no change. I don't think
It's 115V but I doubt it has dropped 5 V in the last week or so.

My TR7 has experienced a lessening of output power on the higher bands by

To refresh, in the process of converting my PS7 to run a non-Drake rig I

Has anyone used the PS7 with non-Drake rigs? I currently use mine to power

is working great on my B-line. Thanks to all that contributed helpful
I'm tired of living with my MFJ tuner and am
interested in the MN-2000 tuner but I need to match to 450 ohm ladder
line. Any mods out there that are easy to perform that don't harm the
original value? Is there room inside to add a balun or can some sort of
outboard mod work OK?
My
TR7's CW offset on transmit seems off. I noticed this when I found that nobody
ever seemed to call me after a CQ on frequency - I always had to set the RIT
about 700 Hz higher. I just tried this with my IC 706 and sure enough zero beat

My T4XB has developed low SSB output. I have
tried the carrier oscillator, filter match, balanced modulator and carrier
balance adjustment as outlined in the manual with no luck. I tried a
different 12AX7 with no difference.
When I adjust T14, T2@ and T3# the plate current
does not change.
