I have the 7077 desk mike which was made by Astatic. On air reports with my TR7 hve been mediocre at best. In comparison to a Shure 444 it sounds muffled and muddy. I now use the Shure with the TR. Does anyone know of any mods that can be done to the 7077 to improve the audio quality? I

My TR 7 has a different sound on USB and LSB on receive. It sounds tinny and USB and muddy on LSB. I've been told the TX audio is muddy on LSB but that may just be the mike which is the stock Drake desk mike. Any ideas? Maybe a filter problem?
