Be sure you have GPS Mode set to OFF.

I have been using DRats on my ID-800H and it works well. I am trying
to use DRats or DChat with the 92AD using the same cable that I use to
program the 92AD from the laptop. It does not seem to work with DRats
or DChat. Is there another
not sure I'll be able to do anything with the DSTAR side of the 92 because of
my lack of calibrated
eyeballs but what are the freqs and tones for machines that cover the JFK
airport area? I'm going to be

IC-92AD to display in small or large font. The large font may help Your lack
of visual acuity (calibration). For me I'm near sighted and have to remove
my glasses to see up close because a friend of mine scratched
Being totally blind not sure I could get the font large enough. *grin* Thanks
for the suggestion though.

There is so much going on in airports they cannot do much except get
confused.
I was in one today, most used was laptops with wireless internet,
second wad cell phones.
third was two way radios.
Forth was limo drivers walking around with signs with the pick up
tourists names on them.

I had an alkaline battery pack inspected once while I was pulled aside for
secondary screening. They questioned it as I had wires (going to a coaxial
power plug) exposed. The battery pack is used to power a Bluetooth to RS-232
adapter which I use for work. TSA never seems to question a lot of
