[Dx4win] Lost data

2003-01-22 Thread Richard L. King
I have been having an intermittent problem with DX4WIN V5.03 for a few months now that is potentially serious. Occasionally when I save the database or close DX4WIN before shutdown, I get an error writing the log file during the saving of my log data. When this happens, usually the last 80% of

Richard What OS are you running this on? If it is XP or Win2k have you checked the event log to see if there are disk failures. On the surface, it sounds like it not a DX4Win issue. Tell us more. Have you tried running this on another computer to see if you get the same errors? You might

[Dx4win] CW Driver

2003-01-22 Thread Ralph Fedor
For a very long time now, I have been using DX4WIN (5.03) and upon opening the program getting the pop-up message, COULD NOT OPEN CW DRIVER. I've been ignoring this and just using my paddle, but how do I get back to being able to use the keyboard and memories again? Thanks -- Ralph - K0IR

Ralph if you are using Windows XP, copy this driver into C:\windows\system32\drivers Problem will then go away. I had the same problem and thanks to the guys at DX4WIN they solved my problem in a hurry. Rod WC7N --- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts --- multipart/mixed text/plain

Richard I don't think that there is an event log on win98SE. The fact that you have tried it on another machine and it hasn't failed is good news. I can recommend the following: Make sure that all maintenance available from Microsoft is installed I really think that the hard drive of the drive

Don, If I want to see the QSO's I have QSL'ed but not confirmed I do a search by putting a date in the QSL Date box and N in the confirmed box. The result is all the QSO's QSL'ed after that date that I have not confirmed. You may have to set QSO Date in Preferences to Greater Equal for that to

Jim, This works already in 5.03 except it is broken when you are adding in real-time mode and using a radio. This is fixed for the next release. Don, Note that a double-click in a summary window is actually sets a special QSO filter that filters all QSOs for that band and generic mode. When
