Hi All,
The problem was that opera was ease-dropping on ns4
code :)
I fixed a problem with the regex stuff so it should
work fine now.
See the attached file for the fix.

Let's us from hereon call it 3.0 alpha 1 (which is
actually 2.9.x) to avoid confusion. Agree?

Do you Yahoo!?
I've tested Opera v7 in bothe IE and non IE mode in
2.9 and it works great. Version 2.9 fully supports
Opera v7 and Opera v6 (with it's limitations)

Yeah, it may be a DOCTYPE issue. The "language" attribute is deprecated and
not even permitted in XHTML 1.0, and must be replaced with "type."
I think the main problem with Opera re: DHTML is that it doesn't support the
dynamic generation of layers, but I could be wrong. Or maybe it doesn't
imp
Even though it's not supported, we need to catch
the vile users of these weak technologies and bounce them to a page of "utter
and total wisdom" so they can be properly assimilated.

if I remember
if I remember I'll
fix it tonight, but this is VERY LOW on any priority list (not that there is a
real list though)
I might actually
take out opera code, because it's not being used (browser object is not a real
browser sniffer)

Standards are just not possible, every browser implementing standard so far
has had quirks and flaws..

I already spoke to Opera. There is no way to write to divs that is the main
problem. I got working the colors sizing position. Someone in the developer
group said you can't do anything like create elements with the DOM. What you
can do is write a layer tag like in IE4. The problem is that you can

Opera doesn't support createElement()? That's news to me. Are there
do
I'm already on that bandwagon. My revision of the API already has support
for it.

Yes I believe support for Opera could definately be worked into DynAPI. It's got full
CSS1, and mostly complete DOM1 support. As far as I know you cannot create new
elements on the fly but everything else should work. So it should be possible to
create all the widgets in Opera if we change t
