Nobody makes 500 Hz IMD dynamic range measurements - they
are meaningless but that is what it would take to get both
interfering signals inside the passband of the 2.7 KHz
roofing filter.

audio OUTPUT from the K2 independent of the setting of the AF gain control.
It does nothing for the audio INPUT. The input (to the mic jack) is

I hate to add my 2 cents but as far as a humidifier, you want above 30
percent humidity, an air ionizer would be the next step up after that,
a lot of the larger RF transistors used in my workplace are especially
sensitive, and it is a requirement to run an ionizer to prevent gate
damage.

would not be good.
As has been said before, if you are going to spent the money on a nice

That is right.the output of the SignaLink USD goes from the RJ45 to the Mic
input. But, you have to add one more cablethe audio from the K2 to the
SignaLink USB. So, what you do is come out of the RJ45 with Transmitt Audio
and the PTT line. Then use a seperate cable for the aud

I have just installed the KAT3 and it seems to be working, however, i
can only get a SWR of 4.0 on the K3 on my 40M end fed antenna. I know
the SWR with this antenna is very high, but I can get the SWR down to
2.5 with my K2 ATU. The K2 is using ALT tune to get there taking a
long time.

I can't *imagine* why not a single one of those smarty-pants
engineering types has ever thought of this, and instead, specify

Well, the assembly manual leads me to think otherwise.
It stresses conductivity, getting all components to the same potential, etc.
When I look up these mats on websites, I find two kinds - conducting and
nonconducting. The wording in the manual says to me to get the conducting type.

You don't need a whole lot antenna-wise to be able to work 6 meters when
sporadic E appears or even when we get F2 at a sunspot peak.
If you have an antenna tuner that covers 6 meters or can build a simple
tuner for 6 meters, just try out your HF antenna and see if it will load.

three-element yagi (Cushcraft 3-element is cheap) will have wide enough a

A 3 element beam would be nice, but to start, a Squalo type antenna
(horizontal) will work just fine for Es openings.

We have receive filtering down to 50 Hz. Why not "dial-a" bandwidth transmit
filtering. We could have a stock 2.7 KHz filter but dialed down to 2.1 or

That is good IF you have a strip of SMD, I don't and would like to
replace with SMD rather than parrell, so the kit is most welcome (and
will ship with my KRX3 when its ready). But point taken about kit if
you have the components.
