Is there any way to be automatically notified of the K3's developments, such
as the addition of synchronous detection?
Thanks,
Shane.

Yea its called the software release page. If you want there are many
services that can send you an email when a certain website has
changed. Then all you have to do is read the software release notes
and you'll know what is new. You can do the same for the hardware
releases.

thanks for all the inputs both off and online.

Randy, K7AGE, has a good YouTube video about how to do this. I've got

Dave - The THP amp probably needs a TTL input. While the K3 has the same
band data output as Yaesu, the K3 output is open-drath whereas the Yaesu

band data input, you will need to add pull-up resistors to 5VDC to drive

Dave,
The K3 uses open collector outputs on the band data lines. If the
amplifier does not provide pullup resistors, the band selection will not
work because the amplifier never sees a logic high level.

The major 13vdc ham radio equipment input power connector is the 4 pin Molex.
This connector has proven in thousands of uses to be adequate to the voltage,

Go to the Elecraft site and download the manual for the K2 SSB adapter and
read it. The situation is more complicated than you may expect and you need
to know about how to configure the jumper block inside the K2 and what types
of microphones work.
I can tell you one thing for sure.
With the K3, the messages play fine, but after one

power and takes 2-4 seconds to build back up to high power.
This is the same whether using the front or rear input
and whether using high or low gain.

The frequency at TP1 (did you mistype? the PLL reference frequency is
read at TP1) does not seem to be a problem. 12090 +/- 30 kHz can be
anywhere between 12060 and 12120 kHz, so your value of 12099.73
certainly fits within that range - it is correct.
