It doesn't seem to be a good idea. You may get potential difference between

I am looking at the K3-Remote / RemoteRig system. A few questions:
(1) I recall hearing something about a K3/0 with a smaller case. Was this
just a prototype or is it headed for production? The current K3/0 case must be
mostly empty.
(2) How much work is it to switch the remote (base) K3
My simple solution:
Use a decent mail client and not a third party service like Nabble.
Don W3FPR has given a good explanation on using Mozilla Thunderbird and
I second that.

This is timely for me. I have been looking for a decent email client to use on
my Windows7 computer. I find Windows Live Mail hard to work with. I like
Outlook Express because it is fast and
Thunderbird is, indeed, actively supported. I've used it as an email
client for several years. Combined with Gmail, it's remarkably effective
at keeping the spam off my screen.
We now return to our regularly-scheduled discussion, already in progress...

Yes, Mozilla officially no longer supports Thunderbird, but there are
still occasional updates, strange as it may seem. Current version is
17.0.7. It's an excellent mail client, and has a plug-in calendar and
scheduler. My preferred mail client prior to switching to Thunderbird
was Eudora...

Except you can't change fonts in XP. It just ignores changes you try to
make. This has gone on for years and apparently there is no motivation

It's not necessarily a rumor. It may have been created by a

Yes. Once again, this sentence makes me wary: We have a solid plan to support
Thunderbird until the second half of 2013 and are discussing how we support it
beyond that date.

Ed,
Bypassing the ATU did not change the level so I guess the ATU was
already adjusted to 50-ohms.
I have not checked the KX3 schematic but based on the K2 and K3
bypassing the ATU only adjusts it to a stored condition that the CPU
'thinks' represents 50 Ohms. I've seen several of the other

Based on sales history over the past 14 months, I estimate that we have
about a 13 month supply of Headers kit remaining, and about a 19 month
supply of Mic Adaptor kits. (Although it's possibly they could last twice
that long or sell out in half that time.)

I've deleted the lead to this thread, so I'm not sure what the issue is,
but for what it's worth, I recommend the Headers kit for the K2. I built
my K2 from scratch with the Headers, and I found that over the long haul
that was a very good decision. Greater flexibility, much lower hassle.
1-The K3/0 mini production date has not been announced yet. But hope it
isn't too far out.
2-There are several cables that have to be switched for the change over. I
need to get the plans for a relay box out of my head and down on paper and
built so that I can do it with software and remotely.
Agreed, little snips at a time. Mine works FB as well. Used it last weekend
