I use an Alpha 4510 Power/SWR Meter and it does have a power

factors into consideration for the final product it reads from .03-3000w.
That is the reason for my trusted Oak Hills Research WM-2 QRP wattmeter

Hi Dick
This is Ken W0CZ. I also wanted to make the VFO B area stay in text decode. I
put TT1 in PF1 and TT0 in PF2. I can not see any difference as the VFO B still
reverts back to the frequency after a short time. Did I do something wrong or
did I not understand the problem you were helping
Hi Ken,
Dick's solution works only doing Morse decode with the KX3 utility
program. So you end up using this to view your practice Morse rather
than the VFO B display area on the KX3.
I've not found a solution yet that allows you to use the KX3 standalone
and not have the VFO B area almost
I was using the K3 today. The VOX kept cycling to transmit and back

Sounded like an easy problem to fix. Just touch up the antivox.

David,
Iam using 5 remotely controlled rotators (1x Prosistel, 2xCreate, 2x
Yaesu) with my Remoterig RRC1258 and K3/0 + K3.
I tested few solutions.
The best (better than the Remoterig solution) for me is the PstRotator
SW from YO3DMU

Dr Vic,
Iam using K2 and LP-100A Wattmeter for my remotely controlled station,
both works fine.
The K2 accuracy for SWR upto 2 is enough good (10%).
If you need more sophisticated Wattmeter, use the LP-100A.
http://www.telepostinc.com/lp100.html
LP-100A can indicate the pure FWD power. And
My TT1 suggestion applies to the text decode sent to the terminal which in
this case can be the KX3 Utility on your PC.
I don't know how to influence the VFO B display behavior.
Merry Xmas!

Thanks to tips from several people of the list this problem was solved.
It turns out that a scope showed there was a 300 mv audio signal on line
in.
Line in was not selected and I don't understand how it got to the mic
input. Bleed through? I normally use line in for PSK in the data A mode.
Please ignore this. I found a 300 mv SDR audio signal on line in.
I don't understand how it got into the mic input-- it's only selected
that way for DATA A. I thought the mike/line in inputs were isolated
from one another.
Guess not. Removing the line-in signal solved the problem.

Wow - Santa (KF6ZNT) sure was nice to me today! I unwrapped a big brown box and

Now I can spend some time building it, learning how to use it and at the same
time, learn more about using WSJT-X / JT9 on the K3. Who said it's boring being

Let Dale play with it so he'll be convinced he needs one for the RV.

Good point Eric. You demonstate how much personal interests affect how a rig
might be rated.
Compared to what a DX-40 has to offer the antique enthusiast, all of the

The Radiosport RS 20 headphones are the way to go. They're not cheap,
but they really do the job. They have NO electronic circuitry to give
RFI problems, just 24 dB of noise reduction due to their excellent
acoustic isolation. When I have them on with any receiver audio at all
going I can't
