I rigged a camera mout arm to my recumbent trike. It folds in to the frame

In 2014 I was on a kayaking trip in the Johnstone Strait/Queen Charlotte Strait

for everything. I was using the single cable from the P3 to the K3S. When I
swapped it for the double connected P3 to K3S cable, it worked.
This after an hour of reloading firmware, plugging and unplugging...and
I disconnected my P3 #24x from K3 #2545, and connected it to K3S #11xxx, using
a bnc cable, and the elecraft cable that goes from the TRANSCEIVER jack on the
p3, to the ethernet jack on the K3S. All firmware is the latest. The K3S is
connected to the PC via the K3S USB port.

While trying to run my KPA500 at full-tilt--but as cool as possible--in digital

I like the Vibroplex straight keY--it's smooth. For paddles, the Brass Racer
paddle (also Vibroplex, both current production). If you get the Bug bug, buy
an older Vibroplex bug with the I style damper, and a Vari-Eze (bar style) to
slow it down. You can send perfect code from 11wpm up. The

I received my Side KX plates and Lexan cover for my KX3 today. Here are a few
notes some of you might find helpful.
1. The instructions say to use a 3/8 nut driver to loosen the MIC nut. I

Like many others I have been chasing TX5K around the bands. I have an HF-2V
vertical for 40/80/160 (with 160 resonator), though it is far too short at 31'
to be effective on 160m. A couple of years ago I upgraded the radial system
from 6 to 66 radials, and it works pretty well on 40m. I have

I wanted to close the loop on this in case others have a similar problem. I
hooked up my newly assembled KAT500 to my K3 and KPA500, and when I pushed a
band button on the kpa, the k3 and kat would change frequency but not the kpa.
On transmit the kpa500 would fault.
I went around and

KAT500, the KPA500 would follow the K3 around--I change band on the K3, the
KPA500 would also change and then go to standby.
NOW the KPA500 does not detect the change, stays in OPERATE, and faults when I

I would stay away from the Elecraft T1 tuner. It is too small, the tuning
range is too large, its power consumption is way too low, the leds are too easy
to understand, it is too easy to use--DO NOT order the 817 cable that
automagically remembers band settings--and it is way too well
