Several have emailed me requesting the answer to my previous question on how
the toroid's should be mounted, so here goes.
With the exception of T2 on the RF board, which should be 1/16 of an inch off
the board, the rest should be flushed mounted as tight as possible.

I just built s/n 4426 and it had the Motorola blue colored MPS5179 which
caused my freq counter not to work. Gary at Elecraft quickly identified
my problem when I told him I couldn't get a reading out of TP1 with the
internal freq counter. I was promptly sent replacements and all was FB.

That's embarrassing. I was looking for a word that started with A, and
meant Antenna, and Aerial was the best word I could find. I don't feel old,
I'm only 50, but things are slipping.

squeezed the wires inside down as close to the PC board as they can be, but
that didn't help. The right side of the paddle is working fine. Anyone have
any other suggestions??
