I also run a KPS-500 on a basic household circuit. The literature about
the amp shows a draw of only 8 amps, so I can run my whole Elecraft station
without the higher voltage circuit — really handy and only 3-4 dB down from
a legal limit amp.

My trusty KPA-500 has started acting up.
Only 100 watts on 160m and 80m, and it takes more drive on the other bands.
What's the good idea on this?
Yes, the antennas check out fine for 160 and 80.
Good measurement numbers and working fine directly from the K3.

I assume that all K4's being shipped now are to those in Group 1. So, it

When I disconnect the red and black cable from the PS and turn on the PS and
amp the HV/Supply Light stays
GREEN!! I tried to reseat both ends of the power cable but problem still
exists!! as soon as I turn on the amp with both ends connected the PS HV/Supply
light turns RED!!!
