Neither the SDR-IQ or the LP-PAN have sound cards in them.
The SDR-IQ is an full blown SDR receiver which does the data conversion
onboard then sends the results to the computer via USB port. The SDR-IQ
converts the entire spectrum from 500Hz to 30MHz to IQ data at an 67MHz
sample rate.

Hi Drew,
Let's differentiate between an engineering concept and a manufacturing
design.
The engineering concept of these knobs is certainly reasonable. For
example, when nested knobs nest properly, that's just fine.--they look good
and work as planned. Great concept!
A design that is
The LP-PAN/E-MU 0202 combo, which seems to be the sweet spot,

That's not correct. LP-Pan = $225 (assembled), E-MU 0202 =

The difference in street prices will vary

Hallo Greg,
using SDR-IQ with SpectraVue 2.34 you dont need a virtual com port - in the

You added some good information about ESD safety, but that wasn't the intent
of the post. I was responding to a specific comment about someone touching
an ESD mat to discharge oneself. As you know, that won't work.

Who cares -- their impedance is far too low to make a dent in HF noise. The
multiturn choke on
K3 Docking station - tough - no shielding - poor connections for coax at least.
I have all my cables that connect to the K3 all tied in a bundle about 10
inches out from the radio. Tie them when they are connected so the lengths are
correct. It helps a lot.
I got this from my PC test bench
Just checked one of the largest online computer parts retailers,
newegg.com, and they've still got the E-MU 0202 selling for $99.99, same
price I paid for it 6 months ago so I wouldn't expect other online
retailers to be higher or lower than that by more than $5.
So, $225 + $100 = $325 or $175
Hi Lance,
I had exactly the same reports from local stations when I tried to use the
feature. (I'm using a Heil dynamic ProSet plugged into the back.) After playing
with various adjustments and finding none that would elimminate the distortion,
I elected to turn TX Gate off and not use it.

When doing field repair we seldom have the luxury of anti-static mats,

It's a gamble. One might save a
