Hi All,
Cable X-Perts possibly does custom cables. I don't buy from them because their
prices are much higher than AES/HRO, but I remember reading that Universal
Radio would do custom cable assemblies. Perhaps DX Engineering also. They seem
to have everything related to antennas and feedlines.
Cable X-Perts does indeed make custom cables, with a very wide selection
of coax types and connector varieties. I have used them extensively with
my K3/P3, transverters and brick amps, and have found them to be
supremely satisfactory.

There is no high SWR detection or protection in any of the XV transceivers.
If operated into a high SWR, yes, high RF voltages will exist in the Low
Pass Filter which can easily exceed the voltage rating of the chip
capacitors.

Werner,
My suspicion is that it has been like that a long time. You may want to
set the power knob back to about 2 watts, set the band to 12 meters and
then do a TUNE - peak the bandpass filter - trimmers C44 and C46.
After peaking those capacitors, test the maximum output again on 12 meters.
