Hi Larry!
I'm glad you received your certificate. I was on 20m and 40m psk31. We
had so many polar bears up at Pulpit Rock that I never got the chance to
operate on cw! K5PAX won the Polar Bear Claw. I worked him on 20m
psk31. I had a ball on psk31 and the other Polar Bears had great fun
too.
Hi Ed,
I called and called on 7.060, 7.040, and 3560.00 CW for HOURS! No response
from you and da' Bears...
Maybe next time! Hi!

For a bargain approach, you might consider an antenna noise bridge
instead of an analyzer. Used in conjunction with your receiver or
transceiver (no transmitting needed), you can readily find the
antenna resonant frequency. If you want to know resistance,
capacitive reactance, and
Hi Kurt,
I'd vote for the Micro908 (only three kits left!). I
built a Round 1 kit and learned a lot doing so.
As far as performance, I'm comparing it to the RF-1.
The 908 is so much easier to use, and I feel provides
better results (closer to anticipated design values).
One of the great things
Did you see the price, though? I think I'll stick with my Micro908.

FWIW: the AmQRP's Micro908 is essentially the kit
version of the Palstar (manufactured) unit. The
Micro908 has lots more functionality than its
factory-built sister, including a well-supported DSP
engine that is the same as the core of the Elecraft
K2DSP. And, the Micro908 is a kit, a big bonus
Steve, are you an AA junkie? Hi..I'm Bill and I'm a Elecraftholic.
I think there would be a good demand for an Elecraft antenna analyzer
kit, an AA-1. There are a lot of AA's out there, but I bet Elecraft
could cut one heck of a notch for themselves in the that market. Could
be the building
Hi,
I have got an assembled Elecraft KX-1 with full acessories (20, 30, 40 m +
ATU + Paddle), which was assembled by Ruchan Ozatay (TA2AH).
I would like to sell the assembled rig (plus all manuals, etc.) because I
have bought an Elecraft K2, again from TA2AH, after the KX1. (He has built

You can determine the sign of the reactance by simply tuning higher in
frequency. IF the reactance increases it is inductive, if it DECREASES, it
is capacitive reactance. Remember the basic formula for inductive is Xl =
2Pi fL, while the inverse formula is for capacitive reactance, thus it
I have seen and tried this unit, both in the field at AmTech day

At AmTech day I hooked

If you want to do it perfect , you can use low power coax relays (cx120 or
something smaller it depends on PWR u use) or better , transfer relays.
If u use high isolation switch between the two radios and one antenna
And if u have a switch, wich shorts unused port to ground it should be even
better :)))

Ok, now i will stop :)

Bob,
This was discussed some time back, but I can't find the details at the
moment. The essentials follow:
You can dig into the K2 and find the /MUTE line (on the Control Board) that
goes from the microprocessor to the muting FETs Q6 and Q7. Insert a series
resistor in this line (try 2.2k and

The way I like to do it is to get an X-acto knife or another sharp knife
and carefully score the trace in two spots. Use repeated shallow cuts.
Heat up the little bit between the score marks with a soldering iron and
