Got the Katie-Gram today for K2 100 kit ordered on 22 Aug. Should be here in two weeks or so, pending my travel plans. Includes ATU, transverter I/F, General Coverage board and 6K, 2.7K, 1K and 0.5K filters. That should keep me plenty occupied until the sub receiver is available ;)

[Elecraft] Question on K2 K3 100 Watt PA's

2008-03-10 Thread DW Holtman
Hello, I have a question which might not make much sense. I have seen the Web links to a couple of people who have remotely mounted a 100 watt amp from a K2 and an antenna tuner in an EC-2 enclosure. Would it be possible to use the same remote amp/tuner to work with a K3? The specs are

Good evening, DW. Yes, this has been asked before (and is a logical question to me), and made it into the FAQ. I found 2 topics which apply. No need to fill email in-boxes with what's already on the web, so just the links: http://www.elecraft.com/K3/K3FAQ.htm#auxbus

[Elecraft] [K3] KAT3 ATU question

2008-03-10 Thread Bill W5WVO
Suppose I have an HF ham band antenna connected to Ant 1 (for transmitting and receiving) and a wire antenna connected to Ant 2 (for SWBC receiving only). When switched to Ant 2, can the ATU be used to tune the receive-only antenna on frequencies outside the ham bands? If so, how much power

[Elecraft] Spanner Wrench / socket ?

2008-03-10 Thread n0jrn
Sort of off topic BUT does anyone use and have a source for a spanner wrench or socket to fit the nuts on Elecraft rigs such as what is on the key jack on the K2? I've done a lot of searching without any luck. Just curious if I've overlooked a source or an alternative method of

[Elecraft] Spanner Wrench / socket ?

I have a set made by Xcelite ... I've had them for many, many years. The part numbers begin with TW- xxx. Motorola also makes them with part numbers likeST-1180, ST-1181 and ST-1182. I believe the ST means service tool. Maybe a Motorola 2-Way shop can order them for you. Hope this helps.
