TX ALC should work in the OFF position just fine. I don't use ALC on the
KPA_500 anyway so it should be fine.

You can set power ber band and you can lock that in also. (TAP 1)
I have not read that we can vary the speed of the Power Knob Control though.
In my case I would have that 'feature' turned off as I prefer the per band
setting and find I very rarely vary the power out range.
