Had two reports of LINE OUT level on this posting.
With LIN OUT at 100:
1) 500 -700 rms mv when tuning across band
2) When attached to sound card, max sound card gain had to be used to get
decent signal.
Perhaps LINE OUT levels are indeed too low.

The poor man's solution is a CD4514 IC, some diodes and resistors. It will
decode all 11 bands and run off the K3 +12v jack. Diodes allow for handling
multiband antennas.
Personally, I prefer a cheap PIC but you have to have the programmer.

people using AC relays should be aware that they will also operate just
fine on DC. (115vac relays work fine on 24VDC). Once converted for DC
operation, they can be speeded up by methods like you point to.

Beginning to think these new earphones are defective in some way.
About 10 years ago I had the same BM-10 earphones. They worked like any
others.

Playing around with full QSK CW with ACOM1000 amp.
Was annoyed by some pops/clicks when using earphones.
Turning on NR to F1-2 and NB to DSP t1-2 , IF NAR 1 seems to have eliminated
most of the problem.
Anybody have any better settings or a different solution?
