I guess I missed out. Never had a formal course. No drafting in high school,
and no drafting during undergraduate and graduate EE at Rice in the 60s. A
straight edge and logic element templates in various sizes, were all the
drafting skills needed. Board layout and a few other things were picked up as
exercises for the the student.

Re: [Elecraft] Why is my K3 off frequency?

2021-03-23 Thread Grant Youngman
The other option if you don’t want to go through a REF CAL, is to simply tune
to the NCS. Use the dial display to get close, and then, like the old days,
ignore it and tune a few Hz until the NCS sounds right.

Re: [Elecraft] March/April NCJ

2021-03-13 Thread Grant Youngman
At least they just grumbled about your review.

I once posted to a reflector about (what was well known) buggy control firmware
in a (non-Elecraft) radio. (The “radio" part of the radio was fine, but
sometimes you never knew what pressing a front panel button would break next).
I almost immediately received a cease and desist letter via emai from the
developer of said firmware, threatening a lawsuit based on potential loss of
livelihood and reputation if I didn’t make a retraction. I made a snark-laden
public retraction on the reflector, which I’d guess was lawsuit worthy in
itself. But I guess that was enough. I never heard from this person again.

I eventually just got rid of the radios and moved on …. life is too short.

Re: [Elecraft] QSO Today Virtual Ham Expo this weekend

2021-03-13 Thread Grant Youngman
Obviously the Virtual Hamfest is having some issues.

I was always able to get to everything except the lobbies and booths. Got an
email last night, instructing an email to supp...@qsotodayhamexpo.com if there
was an issue. Did that. Received a reply quickly that it was fixed. But it
wasn’t. Reset my ticket as indicated in this morning’s email. That didn’t
help either. Sent a second email to the support address this morning telling
them it still wasn’t working. A few minutes later it had actually been fixed.

Apparently some bottom feeder decided to have fun, and, instead of just playing
music or putting up a sweeper over the AM Window, QRM’d the hamfest site with a
DDoS attack, which complicated things even further.

Anyway … it was a good presentation this morning, especially with Eric
indicating they hoped to have Group #1 out the door by the end of May, +/-.
That was encouraging news, especially if you were, like I was, a couple of
months late to the party. I may still live long enough to get my K4D :-)

There is another K4 Q session with Eric added to the schedule for 4:00pm EDT
this afternoon.

This is not a bad joke. You're pointing fingers in the wrong place. As is
typical with this scam (which has been ongoing for years now), the listed
seller’s account has been hacked by a malevolent third party. You can pretty
well guarantee that the listing is fraudulent, and has not been posted by the
seller shown with the ad. Odds are he doesn’t even know it’s out there. It may
be that seller’s account, but it isn’t that guy.

Re: [Elecraft] KPA1500 on AM

2021-02-04 Thread Grant Youngman
Precise calibration of a monitor scope isn’t that terribly essential. An SB-610
or equivalent is hardly a precision instrument, but more than adequate. The
point of the scope is primarily to observe and prevent negative peak clipping,
ensure you’re not out of headroom and starting to flattop on positive peaks,
and adjust mic gain for something approaching 100% modulation.

Actually, that assumes that peak to avg is exactly 4. Which it rarely (never?)
is with a real human voice.

Aside from the legal (and oft disputed) aspects of AM power limits, you’re
better off being conservative and setting drive levels for something under 375W
carrier from the amp. Maybe 250-300W. That will ensure you have some headroom
for voice peaks (especially if you have a good bit of positive voice
asymmetry), keep the amp cooler, etc. And no one on the receiving end will
know the difference, anyway. The referenced article is a good place to start.

A monitor scope on the output is essential …

Re: [Elecraft] Can I rent a K4?

2021-02-03 Thread Grant Youngman
Elecraft already has a reasonable return policy. It’s on the website. 30 days
and a 10% restock fee (which may be more if you’ve bunged it up), since they’d
most likely at least have to clean off your fingerprints and lord knows what
else, refurbish and then resell it at a discount. And if you’ve run over it
with a truck, dropped it in a river, or treated it to a dose of hamification,
you’ll get your junked radio back instead of a refund. PS — it doesn’t apply
to kits that have been partially or entirely built.

If you buy one and don’t like it, it should be pretty easy to find potential
buyers willing to throw money in your direction …

Re: [Elecraft] K4 Panadaptor Display

2021-01-26 Thread Grant Youngman
I display, whether physical or logical (e.g, a quadrant of a real display),
only supports a single input — it has no means to “window-ize” multiple inputs.

Thinking about this some more, it seems it should be possible, eventually, to
put a piece of remote software on the same machine that runs your other radio
apps, and accomplish what you want to do. You can still only have one display
controlled by one computer, but that one computer could be running multiple
apps including a remote K4 display in a window.

Re: [Elecraft] K4 Panadaptor Display

2021-01-26 Thread Grant Youngman
This question was addressed during the recent Zoom presentation/Q The
answer is no — except.

Some displays supports multiple video inputs that can be assigned to quadrants
on the display. So you could assign the K4 video stream to a quadrant
(essentially a logical dedicated display), for example, if your display
supports that function.

Re: [Elecraft] K3 Utility

2021-01-24 Thread Grant Youngman
On the website, go to Support/Firmware Pick the K-Line on the list,
and then K3S. Scroll down.

It’s used for firmware upgrades, configuration save/restore and several other
useful things, such as filter assignment by mode, etc.

Re: [Elecraft] Waaay OT: A new kind of QRM to be aware of ... warning issued by FCC today

2021-01-18 Thread Grant Youngman
I’m not at all surprised the FCC felt it necessary to make the statement they
did. And it certainly wasn’t limited to amateur radio licensees.

Anyone who has ever had a good chuckle or eye-roll over the “interesting QRM”
Wayne referred to, should know why. That QRM, more and more often, also
bleeds over into other places it doesn’t belong, like what should be apolitical
reflectors. It seems there is no longer anywhere we can get away from someone
or some group airing their grievances wherever they are at the slightest
provocation.

Another possibility, unless the email was clearly directed personally to you,

Re: [Elecraft] KX3 sideband cancellation calibration

2020-12-26 Thread Grant Youngman
Ummm ..don't have a good answer for your specific question. The last time I
did it, I used an XG3 and calibrated each filter on each band (there are
actually per-band phase/gain settings for each filter).

If you used an XG1 did you calibrate on the 40M fundamental, or was there
enough 2nd harmonic to calibrate on 20M? I found considerable differences in
per-band gain/phase settings. So it wouldn’t be surprising if the null depth
is not quite as good on a band you had not specifically calibrated for. And in
some cases you could still barely hear the alternate sideband — but it was very
weak in any case.

I also found that the automatic null routines didn’t always get to the deepest
null. Elecraft says that it’s (60+ dB) good enough, and it likely is from any
practical view point. But it was possible in some cases to improve the null
slightly by a +/- 1 count manual adjustment of either the phase or gain setting
after running the auto-null routine. It varied by band and filter, and manual
tweaking didn’t always result in any improvement.

Re: [Elecraft] Tuning Random-Length Wire Antenna with K3 Internal Tuner??

2020-12-13 Thread Grant Youngman
I can’t help but think we’re over-thinking this.

I think the original post was regarding ‘portable' operation. When I go
portable I don’t carry a large antenna with lots of wire or weight. I usually
carry a 41’ (non-resonant) wire with a 9:1 unun rated at 300w watts, and a
throwing line and weight to get the far end of the wire up in a tree. I have a
large OCFD and a 40’ fiberglass’s mast to get it up, but frankly, for quickie
portable, getting the center pole staked and up and guyed is more trouble than
its worth. If it was for a weekend or a week, maybe. But I’d rather spend the
time operating. I’ve used the simple wire with both a K3 and KX3 with internal
ATUs. Works fine. Nothing has ever cooked. The internal ATUs typically get
SWR to 1.2:1 or better. Feedline is 25 feet of RG-58 choked off a foot before
the radio termination.

Sure, some power is getting lost in the tuner, the balun, the feedline, the
connectors, human absorption, whatever. But …

Re: [Elecraft] KX3 filter question

2020-12-08 Thread Grant Youngman
The introduction the KXFL3 manual described these filters.

They are not IF filters in the sense you may be used to. In the KX3, selective
filtering is done in the DSP. These are roofing filters, at baseband, that sit
in front of the DSP, and serve to improve the dynamic range of the radio. They
switch in automatically, and there’s no way to select them specifically (and no
reason to). But the display does show you what roofing filter is active.

Re: [Elecraft] Arecibo antenna collapses

2020-12-02 Thread Grant Youngman
I suppose the question is why not rebuild it if the capability (or an upgraded
capability) remains of consequential value to the scientific community and
there is no existing capability that can be cobbled together elsewhere to match
it. I don’t know what it would cost, but consider that one Virginia-class
submarine costs well over $3B. We build those, even if it is in small numbers.
It’s a matter of priorities … and pretty small $$ in the big picture.

Re: [Elecraft] Sony MDR-7506 replacement pads?

2020-11-05 Thread Grant Youngman
We all have different head and ear shapes. I purchased a pair of MDR-7506
headphones based on some raves on this list to give them a try. Although they
sound fine, I couldn’t wear them with their original ear-pads for more than an
hour at a time. They mashed my ears, hurt, and were tiring. I ended up
purchasing Auray Extra Deep Ear Pads for them (from BH Photo), which fit
around, rather than on, the ears, and they are much more comfortable — at
least for me. The pads increase sound isolation somewhat, and do slightly
increase low end (no impact on highs that I’ve observed).

Re: [Elecraft] K3 Config and Main Menu Dump?

2020-11-02 Thread Grant Youngman
The easiest way to do this is simply to save the preferred/standard
configuration using K3 utility. And after other fingers have been at the
radio, restore that saved configuration. There’s no reason to have to look

Re: [Elecraft] K4 Headphones Q

2020-10-14 Thread Grant Youngman
While I realize that precision in statements is important … this is cutting a
mighty fine point. OF COURSE it’s the digital processing that causes the
delays. It’s perfectly reasonable to assume in this group that we know what we
mean when we say that a “wireless” headset introduces delay, and we’re not
talking about interplanetary communications. Context matters, and the context
of this conversation is Bluetooth headsets ...

Re: [Elecraft] K4 built-in operating manual now available

2020-10-08 Thread Grant Youngman
Even if you could do that, it might not be as useful as you expect.
Sections/topics are linked from a main page and keywords, but not paginated.
And there’s no page numbered “index” to help you get around. This is more of a
greatly expanded “help" function than a typically organized manual. It would
be hard to get around in it on paper, unless you did a lot of reformatting
and/or indexing before printing it.

Just one though on the subject.

Re: [Elecraft] K4 mail filter for Thunderbird

2020-10-05 Thread Grant Youngman
If you can’t send posts with ‘K4' in the title or text to the trash, then
there’s something wrong with your mail client's filter. I’m not familiar with
Thunderbird, so maybe there’s an issue there.

I routinely read maybe 20% of the posts I receive from the many (20+?)
reflectors I subscribe to. (or .. 'to which I subscribe”, to use what was once
called proper grammar). In any case, DEL is the best approach, like it or not.
I often read posts that some filter would have discarded .. and learn
something useful. There were even, at times, some senders who’s emails I might
have filtered out. But even those are, far more often than not, highly
informative and useful, and I get past the occasional condescension, and don’t.

I know this isn’t what you wanted to hear.

Re: [Elecraft] K4 -- Spectral subtraction noise reduction

2020-09-11 Thread Grant Youngman
You can’t really compare an NIR-12 to a more current implementation. The
KiwiSDR algorithm runs on a BeagleBone processor with virtually no discernible
artifacts. The artifacts were the achilles heel of the NIR-12. I had one for
a while. Never liked it.

Presuming Elecraft delivers what they have said they’re working on, it will be
a great addition to the radio.

[Elecraft] K4 -- Spectral subtraction noise reduction

2020-09-10 Thread Grant Youngman
I’ve recently been exploring quite a few of the many SDR receivers on KiwiSDR.
One of the (many) features of this system is an option to select spectral
subtraction NR.

I’m now really hyped about the fact that this will be available at some point
on the K4. It works exceptionally well. So well, that I leave it turned on
most of the time. Often, stations you can barely copy down in the junk
literally pop up out of the noise. Don’t know if this will be available at
initial shipment, but it’s certainly something to look forward to if not. I’ve
only tried it on AM and SSB at this point, so not sure about CW.

Just something else to whet the appetite for that eventual “you’re up” email
from Elecraft sales … :)

Re: [Elecraft] KX3 odd behaviour

There is an auto-mode for opposite sideband nulling to calibrate the KXFL3.
I’d have to look at the manual to remember the specific keypresses for this,
but it does show progress in the display (phase and gain) while running through
the procedure. It is described in this document:
https://ftp.elecraft.com/KX3/Mod%20Notes%20Alerts/RX%20sideband%20null%20A8.pdf.

Could that be what you put the radio into without knowing it?

Re: [Elecraft] Is the Lab599 TX500 a "rip-off" of the KX3?

2020-09-03 Thread Grant Youngman
There are going to be a lot of nice little radios. This may be a really good
radio. Do you know that? I don’t.

Personally, I wouldn’t touch this thing with a 10 ft pole.  No battery; no ATU;
unknown specs; unknown, if any, support; non-standard connectors that won’t fit
anything else; and on. It looks “cool”, and that will certainly appeal to
some. But it’s more than the radio that has to be carried in the end, and
doesn’t come from a trusted source with a track record. Will you be able to
read the display in the sunlight?

Do you have TECH MD turned on in the menus? It must be on to see these

Re: [Elecraft] K4 info

2020-08-30 Thread Grant Youngman
I think a comment I made started this discussion.

I don’t have any problem with anyone setting up a group for anything they want.
If K4 users want a distinct group, that’s fine. I’m a subscriber, too.

What happens more often than not, though, is that everything gets cross-posted
anyway. And the replies get cross-posted, and so on. So thinking that you
won’t see posts that don’t interest you on the main reflector because there
happens to be a single-product group is a bit parochial. And not everyone with
an interest, or who might know something, is going to be a subscriber to the K4
group, or vice-versa. I do agree that I expect my delete key to be very active
while everyone is bragging about THEIR K4 being shipped, and the unboxing
videos, and the “first reaction” posts, and the issues people find, especially
those related to the inevitable failures to RTFM, and all of that. Anyone
who’s been hanging around any new product-related reflector knows what to
expect, such as long OT threads about 160M antennas, etc :-)

All of it is interesting. The delete key (or its filter equivalent) can take
care of what isn’t. I’ve personally learned a lot from what seems to be OT
posts, or posts about radios I don’t own, both here and on other lists/groups.

Re: [Elecraft] Seeking comments on Ham Expo from participants

2020-08-21 Thread Grant Youngman
I thought the Expo was excellent overall. I visited all of the booths, and
watched maybe 80% of the presentations, both during the live event and
afterwards. Couldn’t have cared less about trying to earn points and winning a
prize. And of course the Elecraft events.

It was unique. And except for not having a BA boneyard to wander through and
take too much of my money, the best fest I attended this summer. Well, it was
the ONLY fest I attended :-)

Your presentation on the 3D KX2 design, was thoroughly enjoyable and very
interesting. Eric’s appearances— all three of the them — on the K4, were
informative. I do wish the Q after Eric’s official Expo presentation had
been posted to the web, and perhaps more so, both of the extended 90 minute
Q on the K4. I learned something new in each of them.

I had some issues with the expo software itself, which I referred to the
organizers as feedback in the questionnaire I received afterwards. But they
were largely minor, and mostly just navigation issues.

I’m looking forward to the coming one of these next year. Mostly, I’m looking
forward to my K4 :-)

Re: [Elecraft] Need a PX3 mini wireless keyboard

2020-08-19 Thread Grant Youngman
Yes, that’s it. I misspelled TechNet ..

Oddly, it’s 100% identical to the Anker I was using previously. If it weren’t
for the brand name on the keyboard and the product sticker on the back, you
can’t tell them apart. Except that there must be some difference in the
character encoding that prevented the older Anker from working properly with
the SideKar.

Re: [Elecraft] K4 Questions

I recall that Eric answered a question about that during one of the two 90
minute Q at the Expo.

I think he said it may be available at some point, but indicated it was
possibly over ethernet (?) rather than USB. But I could be mistaken, since I’m
lucky to remember my name unless I look at my driver’s license … if I can
remember where that is :-)

Whichever it is, it didn’t sound like it was going to be a first release

That announcement was made in the Zoom Q that followed, and during the 2nd

It sounded like it might be well into or end of October to get the entire first

partly dependent on how COVID impacts go, etc. Probably best to let the
chickens hatch before trying to count them.

But it sure will be good news when the first production K4 ships … even though
I’m too late in the list to have my address on that one.

Re: [Elecraft] K4 training

2020-08-05 Thread Grant Youngman
We agree. But the transition from one essentially modern radio to another, is
still mostly a matter of figuring out what each control does, where it is, how
to read the display, and where to connect the antenna. The exception I’d make
is that if you gave a recently minted ham (or not) a Globe Champion 300 or even
a Globe Scout he’d likely be completely mystified, and wonder where the RS-232
interface and keyer speed control was. THAT might take some training videos,
or at least an elmer :-)

Re: [Elecraft] K4 training

2020-08-05 Thread Grant Youngman
It seems to me that if you need training classes or training videos to
effectively use a radio, then that’s a problem — either with the radio’s owner
(and I mean no disrespect to anyone) or with the radio.

Elecraft will no doubt release some user tips for certain aspects of operation,
just like they did for the K3 and other radios. Many questions can be answered
on the list, either by field testers, Elecraft, or others that get their hands
on one before you do, like they always have been. It isn’t a bad idea to
collect these in a single location on the Elecraft website for reference, maybe
organized by topic, provided that user submissions are vetted by Elecraft
before they become gospel.

Oh, and none of the computers in my house have DVD drives any longer. My
grandkids have no clue what a CD/DVD even is. Which is why I’d suggest a web
reference as a more universal option :-)

Re: [Elecraft] KX-3 Powered speaker suggestions?

2020-08-03 Thread Grant Youngman
I’ve tried several powered speakers on my KX3. Currently, I use a
(discontinued) Sony SRS-X33 I bought at Best Buy when I got the KX3 a few years
ago. I use it wired. Plays really well if you EQ out all the low end. It
isn’t large, but it is relatively heavy. Last year I dropped almost $200 on a
highly recommended FOXL Dash 7. While I really like how it sounds, and it’s
slimmer and much lighter than the Sony and packs better in the Go Bag, it’s a
monster of an RF generator. So it’s useless. If your hand is anywhere near it
you become the antenna. Probably has a DC-DC converter in there that is
completely unfiltered and unshielded. The Sony is dead quiet. I have another
thingy around here somewhere, also recommended, and inexpensive, which is so
flimsy I managed to break it after about a months use. And the audio from it
was thin and sub-par anyway.

All of that said, I’ve never had an issue with KX3-level RF getting into any of
these. I do use my KX3 at home, but even then it’s “backyard portable”, into
simple wire antennas, without any concern about grounding/bonding/etc. My wire
antennas use the feed coax as the counterpoise, with a choke right at the KX3.
And I haven’t had any RF issues with any of these.

There may of course be other issues, But it could simply be the speakers
themselves. The problem is you could try 5 of them before you find one that’s
RF quiet and doesn’t act like a modulation monitor.

Re: [Elecraft] KX3 Filter Question

2020-07-29 Thread Grant Youngman
It acts much like the roofing filters in the K3. Sherwood measured the
difference in dynamic range at 2Khz spacing as being an improvement from 96 dB
to 104 dB. There’s some degradation noted at 1 KHz spacing limited by opposite
sideband rejection, but the footnote isn’t clear whether this was after per
band opposite sideband null optimization or not, and the extent to which that
matters with or without the filter module in place.

Re: [Elecraft] K4 feature suggestion

2020-07-28 Thread Grant Youngman
This isn’t a bad idea. It’s the primary reason I normally don’t use VOX —
especially with a headset mic, when you can’t turn away from the microphone for
a cough, sneeze, or worse. With a headset, I most always use a handheld PTT
switch or foot switch.

In the days I had a substantial AM station I had a cough switch in the mic line.

Re: [Elecraft] K3s: microphone connector 8V current

2020-07-26 Thread Grant Youngman
i’m not interesting in using the 8V line for mic element bias. That was
someone else. My application is to power an external device between a mic and
a K3/K4 from that line.

I can, of course, use a battery. But it would be much simpler if the 8V line
could supply at least 20ma without releasing smoke :-)

The individual that asked this question initially, was looking for the
possibility of 50ma.

Mike ..

This has come up before, at least once. I think I’d try giving it a spritz of
DeOxit and then working it a few times. One suggestion was to run about 1ma of
dc current through it and switch it a few times to clean it. (I’m not sure I’d
go that far, but it might work).

You can request the part number, price, and, I presume, stock status through
the Support -> Parts Order From web-link, or just give them a call on Monday.

Re: [Elecraft] PX3 signal artifact - still seeking a solution

2020-07-21 Thread Grant Youngman
If the cable is shielded, and the garbage is on the PC's USB signal lines, an
external ferrite won’t do any good. I don’t know if the cable is shielded or
not, but if it is, then the garbage may not be on the shield … and perhaps the
USB isolator might be worth a try. Maybe. I don’t know anything about that
device …

Re: [Elecraft] KX3 - Receive Opposite Sideband and I.F. Image Nulling question

2020-07-19 Thread Grant Youngman
I think there’s a problem with the instructions. I could not hear a signal
when the VFO was set 16 KHz above the KX3 frequency with RIT off as you say.
But you will hear it with RIT turned on.

Re: [Elecraft] K3 Issue FIXED!!!!!

2020-07-19 Thread Grant Youngman

Glad to hear you got the problem solved, Ronnie,. A properly seated TMP
connector isn’t like to just pop out, even with the rigors of shipping. So
it’s a better than even bet it wasn’t properly seated to begin with. If
shipping actually did that to a seated TMP connector, you probably would have
received a very non-rectangular radio with a forklift tine through the front
panel :-)

[Elecraft] KX3 Opposite Sideband Null -- Follow Up

2020-07-18 Thread Grant Youngman
Six weeks or so ago, I put up a couple of posts asking if anyone had had an
issue with opposite sideband null on their KX3. I was having a problem getting
a good null when FL3 was selected, although I had very deep nulls with FL2 or
FL1. I wasn’t motivated to check because of a perceived problem. I had simply
decided to rerun the null procedure on a “just because” basis, for the same
reason any radio I own ends up on the bench periodically for a checkup and
alignment. I didn’t get any response from the list, so I presume this isn’t
something most have rechecked.

In any case, Elecraft support suggested my results indicated a defective KXFL3.
After receiving and very carefully installing a new one, sure ’nuf. All is
fine now. My subjective impression is that tuning around with narrow CW sounds
“cleaner” since I have a good null on all bands and all filter settings.

I don’t really know if the original KXFL3 was DOA (although it was no doubt
checked by Elecraft prior to shipment), if it suffered a random or infant
failure, or if I was careless with the KXFL3 board while doing the initial kit
build a few years ago. Could certainly and perhaps most likely have been the
latter.

Calibration is probably worth doing once in a while anyway. Components age and
drift, and, no matter what, things just happen.

And I did get excellent support from Elecraft while working through the problem.

Re: [Elecraft] FT8 - was "On Second Thought, I'll Take The Stairs"

2020-07-13 Thread Grant Youngman
That’s definitely true. Although I do have a gripe (is it FT4?) with the
software that has arbitrarily plopped its users down in what was just a few
months ago the home of mostly CW QRP activity on some bands. There does seem
to be a need for coordination.

Of course, I’m also old enough to remember, when SSB was beginning its surge
because of the growing availability of good commercial gear. At the time, SSB
was mostly relegated to the lower 25 KHz of most phone bands. AM ops would
jump on anyone branching out from the then “SSB ghetto”. Times change and
nothing changes .. it just morphs into new groups co-opting spectrum from
someone else :-) Still …

Re: [Elecraft] New K144XV module installed no power out..

2020-06-19 Thread Grant Youngman
That makes it sound like there’s a problem with the antenna port …

I don’t recall how the internal jack is situated for the antenna line — but you
may want to be sure on all of these that when you inserted the TMP cable you
didn’t miss the center of the socket and pushed it back instead of getting the
tip of the plug fully inserted. I found for a couple of them that the back of
the socket is not well supported internally and was bitten by this problem. I
ended up using a thin bladed screwdriver to support the center of the socket
assembly while inserting the cables.

Re: [Elecraft] Future of KPA500 & KAT500

2020-06-17 Thread Grant Youngman
I think a 500W-class amp is a good thing to keep in the product line, whether
it’s the current KPA500 or KPA500A, or whatever. Not everyone necessarily
wants or needs a KPA1500. The 500 watt amp is right in line with vintage gear
like the 30L-1/SB200 — both VERY popular in their day (and still widely used)
for good reason. I could care less about either the size of the cabinet or
less than an S-unit.

[Elecraft] Elecraft KX3 Support

2020-06-17 Thread Grant Youngman
Can anyone confirm whether or not Elecraft is currently providing support
services for the KX3? As of 5/11, they weren’t issuing RSAs for the KX3, but I
wonder if they are currently providing email support or support through the
“contact” web-form? Trying to determine if support is temporarily on hold, or
if the support inbox is overflowing, and need to remember that patience is a
virtue …

Thanks .. Grant NQ5T
